+ Show Spoiler + In my head he reminded me of Orochimaru. + Show Spoiler [other rants] + - The new mountain is far too skinny. Shame they changed actors, but even more that they didn't stick the new actor in the old one's armor so at least looks like he's built and scary. New Gregor is still very tall, but very thin. - I always imagined the shadow baby as an actual shadow. mostly see-through and silent but deadly. This was more of a black sci-fi monster screeching and stuff. Not bad, but not the silent killer I thought it would be. - The joffrey-prostitute torture scene was really pointless and dragged on for too long. They already showed his daily dose of cruelty with the Sansa scene (which was excellent), this was unnecessary. I feel like they only tossed that scene in there to have this episode's dose of T&A. I don't remember Joffrey ever being shown as a sexual sadist in the books. They are really going out of their way to try to make Joffrey be so over the top evil that it makes Cersei look almost innocent (like with shifting the killing of Robert's bastards over to Joffrey instead of her). I predict next episode he'll install a giant neon sign above the throne saying "HEY GUYS I'M THE BAD GUY!". - Also enough with Ros! she's taking up so much time :/

I'd recommend just waiting to see in next week's episode though.

They will probably cut the Storm's End captain, but kudos to the special effects/CGI guys who made the last scene, it's really really well done

When you play the game of spoilers, you either win or you get spoiled. ;/

They're going too far with Joffrey's sadism imo, the throne room scene was tremendous for everyone but the whores was a needless few minutes spent doing nothing but elaborating a point that's already been repeatedly made. Harrenhal looks great; rundown and broken but with the size and scale of a once proud castle. Very dark episode all round, but I very much enjoyed it.

Agreed, the scene with the whores was just too much. I mean I guess they think that Ros needs to be in every episode. Bronn really is play awesome "There is no cure for being a cunt". Also the guy playing Tywin Lannister owns every scene he is in.

I am one of the few that really likes that movie. He was also a great villain in some other movies.

- Where's Renly's Peach!?!?! =( - I wonder, given the smuggle by Davos already, whether Edric Storm will even appear. He is a good catalyst to compare Davos and Stannis. - I don't like any of the Littlefinger scenes. Not just because they aren't in the book, but rather they were all extra weak. The Catelyn thing especially. Feels like the writers are really pushing him, which to me is odd because he's such a behind-the-scenes character. Next thing they'll give Varys an epic quest as he recovers his lost balls... - Yeah new mountain seems too skinny. Should have buffed his armour out further. - The Joffrey bedroom scene...was dumb. Sorry nothing in there was interesting. It's such a pity too since the Joffrey-Sansa scene was really really well done. - I don't mind working Ros into scenes and all, but this season they're just doing it to reinforce things. Littlefinger is bad. Joffrey is bad. Janos Slint is bad. It was better when she just hung around people who gave snippets into their background. Was a great way to tell more about the backstory of characters and their opinions on the mess. - Am I misremembering stuff, or does that entire Robb Stark scene mean nothing to anybody ever? Who was that girl!? Anyway, still enjoyed this episode. Not the best one this season despite having probably the potentially biggest scene of the season (Stannis Renly). Was sort of expecting them to extend that as opposed to just putting Littlefinger everywhere.

But I guess tv audiences need their setup for a love drama with a strong female lead. So much for a "shy girl". Not hating on it, or her. She's gorgeous. I just had different expectations, but we'll see how this pans out. I feel like audiences that don't know the books will see this coming from a mile away already though =/ EDIT: And yeah I guess it doesn't matter if she's just the catalyst. Though there are theories she might have more of a role to play, her character means nothing overall to the original plot. So development here is ok in my books.
