Breathing fire on the wights is cool and all but they're a bitch to kill, are easily replaceable, and not all that dangerous. I'd bet $100% sure that we're gonna see two dragons fighting in an epic midair battle because why the hell would you even have the undead dragon if you didn't plan to do that. But to kill the undead dragon all you need to do is kill the white walker. + Show Spoiler + I'm not sure of that actually. You'll notice the Night King doesn't just raise Viserion from the dead, he touches him and his eyes turn blue. Which is the same thing that happened with Craster's last son (and seemingly all other sons). So I'm thinking Viserion is actually not a wight, but a "white walker dragon"; which means he would be vulnerable to dragonglass and Valyrian Steel and killing the Night King wouldn't bring him down. It's a moot point really, as I don't see the Night King dying before Viserion anyway. But what I'm getting at is: prepare yourself for GoT's Black Arrow moment, where people have to melt several Valyrian Steel swords to forge one scorpion bolt, and have Bronn fire it to kill Viserion. + Show Spoiler + Bronn will have to die to remind people that, you know, Cersei is mean. (And also to finally begin turning Jamie into the valonqar)

When an episode of GOT leaks, you have to watch it ASAP, or not play Dota for a week lol. The hassle of trying to stay spoiler-free for 5+ days is just too much. Besides it's available in full HD and what-not, I don't see a reason to wait.

This is so embarassing. If i realize little stupid details, like Jon coming out of the water and the first thing he does while pulling himself up is grabbing his fucking sword so that he can only use one hand to pull himself up, it means i have lost all abilitie to suspend disbelief. I think i start hating this show. The script is so mindblowingly stupid at this point. I could list all the things that i found to be stupid, but i will keep it to two including the sword grabbing: Why the fuck are they protecting their one little packaged skeleton from being freed when they are surrounded by a shitton of other skeletons? Do they have a timer? "Mission: Survive 1 minute against the attacking White Walker. The captured Wight needs to survive." Why are the other Wights trying to free the captured one? Have they read the script?

I never saw the other wights trying to free the captured one just attacking what ever was alive and closest to them. I figure they knew that the only reason they were there was to get a wright (stupid in the first place) so if they didnt keep the one they already had tied up and hooded they probably wouldnt get another chance to catch one. it did take like four guys to pin it down and tie it up.

In regards to the Jon not getting on the dragon, I think he was trying to keep the undead off of the rest of them while they all got on and got a little tunnel vision. It also looked like they had plenty of time right up until the ice spear and then shit went sideways. Dragons are clearly faster than a horse, which means they might travel at 45 to 50 mph(80 KPH). So it would take like 30+ hours for her to fly north to them.(kingslanding is like 1500 miles from Winterfell). If we assume they were about one days travel from the wall(10 miles on foot), then they should have spent two nights on that rock in the middle of the frozen lake. Of course, if the dragons can fly faster than that, it takes less time.

They should have written it that they captured the wight and then figured out they were being chased by the army, sent someone off to send a raven and lead the army off. Also a line or two that the Night King seems to know their plan(I’m convinced the night king has some bran like farseeing powers or the ability to see through his undead). I get the pacing issues, but they could clean this stuff up by moving some scenes around and cutting a walking sequence or two.

I'm surprised no one is calling out how utterly retarded the hound was. You're all fine sitting on the little island, but no, the hound decides to fuck with the undead so they attack. Great fucking idea.

Getting some skyrim vibes from this episode. Also, I love how they are able to get a message from the north pole to dragon stone in 24 hours or so. It went Gendry -> Raven -> dragon. I can understand it if they didn't venture far and Gendry ran to Eastwatch in a couple hours and if Dany was right there... But they first would have to find a dragonstone Raven then send it (which should take days or maybe even a week) and then Dany would have to fly the same distance up (probably the same speed as a raven). Assuming everything is operating at 100 percent efficiency, it would take a week for Dany to get to Eastwatch and then she would have to fly around and find them. I would have laughed my ass off if she flew in and they were all dead and frozen.

Like others mentioned here and elsewhere already: they're out of source material and they're hollywood writers. So while the show had the awesome cruel realism in the first seasons we've well arrived in hollywood high fantasy hero territory. And I'm not talking teleports, dragons and resurrections- i'm talking about not drowning/swimming in full plate armor (Jaime) or armor/fur/leathers in frozen temperature waters (Jon). Years ago when I did some kind of swimming test that had some rescue elements I had to swim in some light (!) clothing. Can't remember the details but it was nothing besides pants and shirt. It was rough as fuck and I was a good swimmer. And that was swimming pool temperature water. You fall into even a small body of water in full plate/mail- you're dead. You fall into icy water- you're dead. Even if you wouldn't drown, which you will because your muscles stop working after a very short time, the hypothermia will kill you in minutes. But hey maybe Jamies hand is actually a Go-Go-Gadget version with a hidden submarine in it or Bronn has secret superpowers that enable him to carry 300 pounds under water for miles, and Jon is so filled with holy fire from his last resurrection that his body functions are superhuman. I could forgive all that nonsense though because hey, it's fantasy after all. But the utter stupidity of the plot lately really bugs me. Tyrion and Varys are supposed to be smart. The entire expedition plot is so retarded it really hurts.
