SPOILER WARNING If you only watch the show, this thread will spoil you of future events in HBO's Game of Thrones. Thread contains discussion of all books of the series A Song of Ice and FireClick Here for the spoiler-free thread. |
Tommen's decision was a bit like "holy shit" moment for me. It makes sense based on how the show advanced his character. Cercei is beyond doubt mad as Aerys by now.
Little Mormont telling the northern lords how things are was great. Yea, fuck you fickle men, here's a 10 year old (or whatever) girl who has more sense of honor and duty than the lot of you. Ha. That look between Sansa ja LF there though, shit new player enters the Game and LF isn't too happy and Sansa knows how LF plays the game. Worried for Jon much?
Great episode all in all. And Dany is finally actually sailing west. Hoo-fucking-ray.

What chance does Cersei have now? It's the Tyrells + Dorne + the entirety of Essos + the North + the Vale + the Iron Isles all of Westeros plus all of Essos versus what? What little is left of the Lannisters?
|
No more Natalie Dormer fuck this shit

Can someone explain why Pycelle had to specifically be killed by the little birds and not for example the mountain or Qybern himself...? That was pretty messed up....

Wink to book readers?

She doesn't have any chance, my guess is that they put her on the throne because something from the books was cut and they needed a placeholder.

Cercei has the Lannisters and maybe Baratheons. Vs EVERYONE ELSE. Yea, she is so fucked. But that's fine, because she is as mad as Aerys now and Jaime was looking at her like...fuck, haven't I done this once before?
And how is that Dany + Jon marriage looking like there...dragons right on time for rescue when the Night King comes.

the martells shouldn't have ships, ugh... that makes it bad for a different reason

why not? The rhoynar may have burnt all of their ships when they arrived at dorne, but they still need ships for trade, transportation, sunspear sits on a freaking coast of course they have ships

also regardless if whether r+L actually got married and had jon, even if he finds out that he's targ by blood and should be by name, he's all stark in his looks, his mannerisms, his identity. Finding out he's half targ won't change that, he's a northerner through and through But it will change how others look at him.

it's not like he's gonna go on twitter and post that he's a targ to 10 million followers >_>

Yes I thought Ghost will jump over the table right there, but nothing happens, well....

Seriously, what must it be like to be a normal person in GOT?

For all of Cersei's shortmindedness, blowing up the sept was actually a great, although desperate, move on her part. In one fell swoop she not only managed to save her skin, but also get rid of the Tyrells and the faith militant. Best possible outcome. In the short run at least.

I would have liked to see Cersei grieving Tommen, with maybe a mention of the prophecy would have liked to see Ghost too... they do love the dragons but totally ignore and kill the Direwolves :/ and I understand the timelines for each char are a bit different, but it doesn't really work well in the show, all those "teleportations" are a bit too much
the first 20 min were really awesome, the music and few dialogues helped a lot :D

She is not next in line after Tommen, her sitting on the Iron Throne is a coup, a full reset of everything, not a succession. She held a brief and successful rebellion against the crown after Tommen died and nobody knew who the next king was.
|
She may have the Crownlands. They have their own army. The Battle of Blackwater should've decimated that army, though.
Arryns, Tyrells and Martells have the mostly untouched armies in Westeros.

With Tommen death, who should of gotten the throne? Would it had technically fallen to a lesser branch baratheon since Robert line technically ended there and all his brothers are dead with no heir. So that would mean Robert eldest cousins or 2nd cousin should of been crowned right?

So that would mean Robert eldest cousins or 2nd cousin should of been crowned right? We don't have a good enough Baratheon family tree. We'd have to go back to Robert's father's siblings, if he had any. If he had a younger brother then he would become king for the purpose of succession (although wouldn't wear the crown on the grounds of being dead), then his eldest son (Robert's first cousin) if still alive and if he was dead then his eldest son (Robert's first cousin once removed).

The person with the largest army. At this point they have killed their way through any legitimate heirs and we are now in the weeds.
