Dorne story is still absolutely horrendous, Sansa is still useless and can't do anything, Olenna/High Sparrow confrontation was underwhelming.
Next episode needs to do a lot. This show is going downhill quite fast.

GRRM is Tywin, Show writers are Cersei.. and we all know what happens when Cersei is the ruler, she just fuck everything up!

At least we might see Stannis do battle against Winterfell. Or have a talk with Ramsay in the crypt and join forces to battle the wildlings, but does he know Ramsay has a pact with the KING BEYOND THE WALL? And they're lovers. Will he follow his heart or his lust for power. A lot of soul searching ahead.

In the books this is no big deal because you can just introduce new characters. In the show however, a lot of the polarity and dynamic is lost. The writing of the show has become very linear and is reduced to a simple character A does this, character B does that. If you were to start the show in season 5 without having watched the first 4 seasons, there would be no reason for you to assume that this is a good show.

Things that happen are too subtle for most of viewers, or as they put it "underwhelming" and "nothing happens".

No, this season isn't as good as the previous 4 but given the source material I think they're doing fine. I think many would agree the last two books have been rather underwhelming compared to the first 3 (ok, maybe aDwD was on par with GoT, but that's it), so it's not much of a surprise the show mirrors this even with the freedom they have deviate. I will say that I've grown tired of Jamie's mission to Dorne. Initially it seemed really cool, primarily because I fucking love Bronn in the show. Yet, it's gotten pretty damn stupid these past two episodes and the Sand Snakes are a bit of a letdown...

![]() In general it feels like all the Sand Snake/Dorne material this season was very rushed. I mean it's 7 episodes in and the biggest Dorne scene's have been: quick Jaime/Bronn arrival and Sand Snake intro, fight over Myrcella, and the prison scene. All in all it can't be more than 25 minutes of time in a completely new location with multiple new characters. Also hella misdirection with the episode title I so thought they would do a lot of Wildling progression with Jon moving the Wildlings into the gift. Got me there.

The stuff in kings landing was nice and what happens at the wall and in the north set up things nicely for the next few episodes I don't remember if Stannis/Mylisandre did anything to Myrcella in the books but I really am looking forward to see what happens there. Things starts to get really tense at the wall just as it should be and it will be interesting to see what happens with Sansa. Imo one of the best episodes this season quality wise. There was one thing I started to thinking about, apparently the Stormcrows deserted Stannis but aren't those Darios company? Tinfoil on! + Show Spoiler + This puts them in position to do something with the Iron island. Dario=Euron theory anyone? ![]()

Your attitude isn't ok, you're expecting oscar level drama/acting every scene, whereas its just a tv-show. Are you dissitisfied? I guess thats your problem, no need to bitch about it in forums.

Hey man that's what forums are for is bitching you just need to bitch intelligently. As a fan of the books first i dont really like how they are deviating but TV isn't written the same way. GRRM is still involved so he wont let it get too carried away, alot of it is just written as such because it is better TV The enormity of a situation is partly lost on television because with a book its all your imagination so when you see someone elses interpretation you become jaded... at least this show followed the books has anyone ever seen the awful sword of truth show.

On May 25 2015 20:45 Liebig wrote: Will we get the naked march of shame from cersei ? I sure hope so If I recall, yes, as it was announced. About the episode... I thought it was alright. Sort of better than the last episode, not outstanding, just decent. The Olenna/High Sparrow confrontation was very strange. Olenna was really reaching through it, and while it was refreshing since we always see her get her way, it just felt weird. Maybe the acting or the dialogue, I'm not sure, but it didn't feel completely right. The Cersei scenes were good. Lena Headey did a great job, she transpires of smugness and satisfaction up until the last point. I really felt the Book-Cersei vibes, where she's convinced she has everyone in the palm of her hand and then stuff goes wrong, and she just snaps. I suspect we will get to see a very unhinged Cersei in the next few episodes. I'm not sure I understand Littlefinger's role in all this though. He has a meeting with Olenna, he tells her he also has a young man for her, then Cersei gets trapped due to Lancel. LF can't be tied to that, can he? I can hardly imagine that he would have any impact on Lancel at all. It makes little sense to me. So am I missing something? The Sansa scenes were just reinforcing the idea that she is trapped with no recourse. They were good, but didn't bring much. Stannis though. I was surprised that Melisandre openly said it like that. If they do go ahead and kill Shireen, I don't think it will be with Stannis' agreement. It would make no sense to have him in that scene with his daughter, strengthening the image that he deeply cares for her and would go through anything to save her; only to have him sacrifice her later. But they did bring it up. I suspect Melisandre will betray Stannis and burn Shireen, or something to that effect. Or maybe Stannis will absolutely refuse, and it will be his doom. Even a truly desperate Stannis would not sacrifice his daughter. Not even Show-Stannis. The Sand Snakes scene though.... Ugh. That was just awful. Laughably awful. I have no idea how they wrote that dialogue, shot it, and thought to themselves "yeah, this is good stuff". It's just so bad on so many levels. And most of all, it makes no damn sense. Why would a Sand Snake go from trying to kill Bronn and poisonning him to wanting to fuck him or whatever, then acting like a slut out of nowhere and giving him the antidote. I was seriously laughing all the way through that scene. In any case, the next few episodes will be interesting. We are mostly past the setup stuff now, and it will go down on all fronts. Oh, and Aemon's death was great, if rushed. I especially loved "Egg! I dreamed... that I was old". It was so damn heartbreaking, just like in the books. Wonderful acting. I was surprised that they killed him off so soon though. I think Sam will leave Castle Black in the next episode, or when Jon returns. Speaking of Jon, the tension at Caste Black is seriously palpable. They're doing a great job with the camera work, showing Olly and all the frowns of disapproval among the Night's Watch. I am quite hyped for Jon's betrayal scene. Most everything on the Wall has been spot-on so far, although a little rushed; but that is fairly normal.
