Even if the events wouldn't happen simultaneously in the two books, they'd have made damn sure that their main actor remains in every episode. Especially with Tywin gone next season, who else do people have to cheer for?

I forgot about Dorne and the Ironborn and Arya in Braavos. There's a lot of content they can work with there as well. I suppose they COULD also accelerate Tyrion's storyline the way they have with Dany to include him next season, and now that I think about it makes sense for them to do that since we can be pretty sure that we'll close this season with him escaping King's Landing.

This its something im woory about, at this point there are just to much stuff happenind everywhere that its going to be dificult to make a good story arc without the feeling that its has been rushed, lets see: Kings Lading Wall North of the wall Winterfell Brienne Iron Isles Dorne Bravos Tyrion (wich going to pentos to Meeren, mixed with Jorah) Sam (Wall to Oldtown) and later on Jon Con Victarion(Althou i hear they gona mix Victarion and Euron... =() Quentyn Jaime, when he leaves KL IDN, i can clearly see they making two more season with AFFC and ADWD IMO, would be nice if to end of S5 they revealed the indentitie of Aegon and Quentyn, previously known as Young Griff and "the Frog" lol

Basically what I am saying is the stories in Dance will happen alongside the stories of A feast so we will still have tyrion in the next season

When we debated why they don't have time to follow the whole lords of the vale challenging Littlefinger and how he has some of them on his payroll, it kind of ignores the fact that they covered virtually the entirety of Sansa's storyline from Feast for Crows in a ~6 minute scene. They have cut any seizures by Robyn and haven't particularly made him sickly or shown Sansa taking care of him, and the only event of importance left from her or Littlefinger's story line is Petyr revealing his plans to Sansa for eventual marriage to the Arryn heir after Robert, Harrold Hardyng, and an eventual plan to reveal her true identity and to reclaim Winterfell in her name, which will likely be skipped or significantly rewritten since she has already revealed her true identity. This seems to point to Feast and Dance being condensed into one season, as I have no idea what she or Littlefinger would do for two seasons of content. Likely either steal stuff from Winds of Winter, or lots of original scenes to give them something to do because they wanted to rush thru what was already there... Unless by some miracle Winds is released before next season, we won't really know for sure which stuff is original and which is based on the books. That being said there are a TON of story lines between the 2 books, and even if some of them are less interesting than others to many readers, is Brienne's wandering really any less interesting than what the writers have had Arya and the Hound do this season? Lots of repetitive scenes that go no where with an occasional flash of violence.

In a book that usually puts things in such a huge picture, Brienne's arc felt very refreshing as if it was from a completely different story. There's a lot they can do with it.

Likewise Bran doesn't have much left in his storyline. The deserters are already dead, so no need for Coldhands to kill them, so Coldhands likely won't be cast. They escape from the wights into the Three Eyed Crow's cave, meet Leaf (who likely won't be cast), who leads them to the Three Eyed Crow, and then he starts to learn from the Three Eyed Crow, but that hardly seems like 1-2 seasons worth of material, which could be fine if they were to use that extra time to use on other characters, but if they have to make new scenes to "give the actors something to do", then it kind of defeats the purpose of rushing.

+ Show Spoiler + Here you go. Basically, Jaime will be going to Dorne instead of the Riverlands, and it will most likely be him who fights Obara (who was rumored to have a fight with a "significant character" in Season 5). In the books, Jaime just hangs out in the Riverlands at that point in the story. And given that the Riverlands are entirely irrelevant in the show, it makes sense to not suddenly put any focus on it for Season 5. Sending Jaime to Dorne (perhaps as a plea from Cersei to get Myrcella back?) will introduce a familiar character to a new place that has countless new characters, so it makes perfect sense from a (TV show) writing standpoint. Jaime himself didn't do anything of significance in the Riverlands (assuming that they will continue to be irrelevant in the show), so they might as well have him do something else that connects with the main plots. And for Cersei's plot it doesn't matter where Jaime is, as long as he's too far away to help her when she gets in trouble (plus the sweet irony of her having sent him away in the first place..). The only issue I see is with Brienne, and how she'll be able to lure Jaime towards UnCat. But since characters have magically teleported long distances in the show before, well.. To be honest, I love the change, and I can't wait to see Jaime interacting with various characters in Dorne.

Maybe they will speed up his "recovery" and turn him into a good swordsman again. I get the feeling Jaime will eventually be a good swordsman with his left hand. I even think that was the whole purpose of Qhorin Halfhand - a very convenient character that one, who was a living proof that one could survive for long periods of time beyond the Wall (hello Benjen Stark), and also that is was possible to learn swordfighting with your offhand.

I think it's a given at this point the bite is infected and will kill him. That's why they played up the bit about him being afraid of fire and not letting arya burn it. He's now going to die because of his fear of fire.

I get they need to sort their screen time out so that they don't lose actors as the series goes on but I feel they are dodging important parts of the story to do so.
