I'll buy into Faegon, I'll but into R+L=J, I'll buy into Sandor = the grave digger, but this other stuff is insane That one is based around GRRM not "showing" his death without doubt. So some people think the Tattered clothes mercenary got killed in his place.

Sometimes these complaints sound like "euh nobody died and we only had conversation, so obviously it is bad" I don't know man, i really don't want to judge people based on this, but it isn't easy tbh. I've got nothing against talking (would be a pretty dumb idea to read asoiaf if I had) but when you have the master planner telling his daughters that he's been planning some shit all this time and then everything to do with Dorne so far has amounted to nothing...not to mention they are all fairly new characters. I think it's understandable to feel deflated about Dorne after their events.

Like, even back at Dorne those guys just talk and talk and talk and then they go somewhere with Myrcella (yes I don't know how to spell it) and then that gets borked because *maybe* that dude went mental. It's like...well what the fuck has happened, is happening and was supposed to happen? Fucking Dorne man I don't know what that shit was about... If you really want to know what the Dorne story arcs are about, go here: http://meereeneseblot.wordpress.com/2014/03/03/water-gardens-and-blood-oranges-part-i-the-viper-and-the-grass/ But that's a four part essay so I forgive you if you skipped it. TLDR: Doran Martell is full of bullshit. He says he wants to protect Dorne's children by fighting only a war he can win, but he starts out by getting his own son killed. His blood feud with the Lannisters starts out by seeking justice, but is shown to be a matter of pure revenge once Elia's murderers all die. Once he hears that the Mad King's daughter has had his son burned to death, he'll go crazy enough to declare war on three dragons. Water Gardens Massacre 2015 -- be there!

In the books, you root for Tirion because he's great and the Mountain is an awful Complete Monster, but Oberyn himself didn't strike me as particularly sympathetic. With that "the biggest disappointment was you" scene though... Even I feel more sad than I was before the Red Wedding.

The mountain of evidence on that reddit link a few pages back was well-substantiated enough to not have me simply disregard it as another silly theory. Really? This first evidence cited is they "both have blue eyes", Euron always wears an eyepatch, is this just to disguise that he has a second blue eye then? A disguise just to throw off the readers? To me this whole theory makes no sense. Geographically the distances are way too far. Euron's lips are blue due to him drinking shade of the evening, Daario's beard might be blue but I don't remember any mention of his lips being blue. Daario also seems to spend a lot of time grooming himself with his three pronged beard, does Euron get rid of that when he's back being Euron? Another claim is that Daario got a lot of swag in Yunkai. So is this theory implying that he got the dragonhorn in Yunkai near Dany, but instead of using it, he brought it all the way around the world to the Iron Islands only to have it send back to Dany? Euron thinks he will get Dany because he has this dragonhorn, not because he's seducing her in disguise. I also disagree with Hizdahr being the one to bed, if any of love, bed or dread, he seems like the one to dread. But do they even have sex? I don't remember if they do or not. In terms of personalities they seem far too different unless Euron is a faceless man as well, I can't imagine he could pull off that much acting. The only bit of that theory that makes sense is the connection with Stormcrows and Crow's Eye, but by this logic every time two different characters have a loose association with the same animal do we have to think they are the same person? Why are there so many theories about characters being other people too? At least this one isn't suggesting one of them is another Targ.

OMG you opened my eyes, Brienne really fights a disguised Jorah in the pit at Vargo's camp! But seriously, the most compelling evidence was the hint from the show makers: That Daario confiscated 93 ships in the show, and Euron arrives at the Iron Islands with 93 ships. But then this could be the show makers just messing with the die hard fans.

The visit to Casterly Rock is mentionned at some point, but it was mostly about the Martell and the Lannister trying to find a match for their children.Someone refresh my memory: Was the scene between Oberyn and Tyrion from the books, or was it new? So if memory serves, the scene was there, but the tone was different. On May 21 2014 20:52 cuppatea wrote: Mostly, I'm looking forward to see Stannis in the North and lord Manderly. Sure, some great characters will be gone, but I don't think it will be any worse than when Sean Bean/Ned Stark left, or than in the books. I didn't expect show-Oberyn to be so awesome, and I hope there will be more pleasant surprises like that. What's the general feeling amongst book readers about the story from this point onwards?

The time line that the author is using is not in chronological order. He is comparing events that happen in Feast with events in Dance, but in reality the arrival of Euron and the events of the King's Moot happen in Storm of Swords chronologically. Robb hears about Balon's death and Euron taking the Seastone Chair in Chapter 46: Catelyn V of ASOS before the Red Wedding. Dany hasn't even taken Meereen yet, if we assume that the chapters in ASOS are in chronological order. Daario is present in Chapter 58: Daenerys V and Chapter 72: Daenerys VI of ASOS.
