Good times will be had. Although I am pretty sure the dwarfes will not be there. I saw him hacking at that book (Tyrion's gift) with his new sword in a preview though.

Little backstory elements like that can be hard to differentiate But see that's the thing. It is easy to differentiate: either it's in the show or it's not. I don't think it's hard or unfair to expect book readers to know what they're talking about.

I guess they could do the scene without the dwarves, but man, the dwarves really set everything up perfectly in the book.

I wouldn't mind that. That Tyrion just so happened to meet her again in a totally different city later on seemed like such a convenient thing to happen in the books. Though we also have to consider that there just might not be any female dwarf actors out there who would fit the role. The show certainly has quite high standards, and they hit the absolute jackpot with Peter Dinklage. It's not exactly easy to cast a role like that.

Of course, most of the characters were cast very well in the Game of Thrones TV series. The only "miss" that stands out in my mind is Catelyn. I seriously think Cately Stark is a very strong role in that show. I had shivers when I heard her voice during the red wedding. Thing is, in the books, when she has her scenes, it's kind of a stream of thoughts, which I think cannot easily translate to on-screen happenings.

I saw a post from the agency that hires little people as well as big people congratulating them for doing GoT. I dont think they are going to do the animal stuff directly from the book since that's probably not physically possible.

I think it depends on how long they stretch out the "Tyrion in prison" bit. Once he gets to the Free Cities, he meets her pretty quickly iirc, so we might see her at the end of the season as a setup. Still a ways off, though. I'd be interested and happy if they did include the dwarves this episode, though. Staying close to the books is never a bad thing.

it would probably work without it but its still better. And i think it would be cowardice to just cut the pig riding out entirely. If people can ride dragons then they should be able to ride pigs aswell. Actually im not even sure if they gonna have Khaleesi ride the dragon now..
