The message from the book isn't "hey, look, Brienne wanders around the Riverlands". It's more in the vein of "Hey I'm creating a perfectly standard quest situation, you have these expectations about it because of fantasy, now let's see how it really works". Now the show is less deconstructivist than the book is, but they have kept the larger messages and sometimes added good one-liners to help them across ("You don't fight with honor! -No. He did."), so I expect they will have something to say about quest, even if they don't treat it the same way. | ||

Well, I think he doesn't look like a white walker, he is a major character in the future and elk is complicated, so why not a horse. The lack of hood and hiding is strange but maybe they use it to build tension, having people think he is a white walker or something else that is clearly dead. The "cold" touch is harder to describe on screen than in text... Who knows but my bet is that they won't take the time to build the mystery... They'll just show him a bit more naked. | ||
