The producers have mentioned months ago that the dragons were growing faster than in the books. They were already growing faster in the last season, anyhow.
It's awesome, but all these sped up storylines do make me wonder what the heck they're going to do for the next season.
when the tv show catches up to the books, they will feel the pain of waiting several years for the next season to come or they diverge the story lines completly, that would be rather intresting (dont think they will do it but it would be interesting)
Actually, I think that's exactly what they're going to do. They already know how it all ends, and they do have very competent writers who would be able to fill the gaps.
They will have to change large parts of the book 4 and 5 story anyway, because this will be impossible to put in a TV series like that.
What, you don't think a full season of Brienne wandering around the Riverlands or Jaime traveling from castle to castle would thrill viewers?
It'll be interesting to see what they do with the last two books, I really disliked them a lot so hopefully the showrunners go real ham with the adaptation.
Can anyone picture Tyrions meandering and pointless sightseeing trip and his dwarf gf happening in the show because I sure can't.

sure, it's going to be great. You're just a random hater for random reasons.
since its a show they probably want to have some identifiable villain to remind the audience about the threat of the others or something. might be coldhands too since the producers have been known to change things up..
That trailer was pretty good, the Oberyn - Gregor duel, Shae in what I assume is Tywin's bed, the fight at the wall. I hope the Purple Wedding will take place early in the season so we can get things going. I'm just gonna ignore everything that is related to Daenerys in that trailer.
Also, this season seems incredibly packed, I'm hyped.
I wouldnt hold my breath to see this series finished. And that really sucks because I found the last books to be pretty boring but the end of Dance with Dragons really gave me hope for an epic ending.

The message from the book isn't "hey, look, Brienne wanders around the Riverlands". It's more in the vein of "Hey I'm creating a perfectly standard quest situation, you have these expectations about it because of fantasy, now let's see how it really works". Now the show is less deconstructivist than the book is, but they have kept the larger messages and sometimes added good one-liners to help them across ("You don't fight with honor! -No. He did."), so I expect they will have something to say about quest, even if they don't treat it the same way.

Shouldn't he ride an elk (ok, excusable change), and wear a hood or something?
I might be off here but I immediately thought that would be just another Other.
Well, I think he doesn't look like a white walker, he is a major character in the future and elk is complicated, so why not a horse. The lack of hood and hiding is strange but maybe they use it to build tension, having people think he is a white walker or something else that is clearly dead. The "cold" touch is harder to describe on screen than in text...
Who knows but my bet is that they won't take the time to build the mystery... They'll just show him a bit more naked.
