Why the fuck does it matter, I can't recall if it means anything and I was edited so I didn't spoiler anything, so I just wanna ask in this thread.
It doesn't matter at all. The other thread's just moderated extremely strictly, so literally any sentence that contains the words "in the books" will be removed. That you didn't get temp banned means that it wasn't even a minor spoiler.

he hasn't appeared yet. I really hoped that he would appear (either at the wall or that Bran would go to him), but alas
This question has been asked to death as Howland Reed is the only survivor of the trip to the Tower of Joy. His perspective would answer questions about Lyanna's death, Jon's true parentage (Eddard or Rhaegar's son) and how the fuck he helped Ned to kill Arthur Dayne.
GRRM has said specifically on his website that we will never get a Howland Reed chapter, and most likely he will never appear in the books as it doesnt look like Meera, Jojen, Bran or Hodor are going anywhere for a while in Bloodraven's cave.
I'd be disappointed to not see Howland Reed at all. I don't expect a chapter from his perspective or anything and the questions he'd be able to answer can get answered from different sources, but I'd still like to hear him tell the story of hte Tower of Joy and find out a bit more of his personality and character. He did survive, after all.

no they didn't make "whining videos" last season. That they did for season 2 and fortunatelly they toned down the negativity for season 3. but then again, season 3 was better and didn't give as much reason for critique.
So is this a thread for just GoT discussion for fans that are also willing to talk about the books or is this an ASoIaF thread that includes all mediums and content in the universe?

everything can be discussed here. Except maybe future chapter spoilers (i don't remember what we decided on that subject... you could probably just spoiler tag that)
It just occurred to me that if it were not for the wild fire Stannis would have won the war.
Had he had a proper landing with his entire army, King's Landing would have fallen before the combined Lannister and Highgarden army reinforced it. Stannis would have in his prison both Cersei and Joffrey, either hostage or dead. At that point the war is practically over. Even if Tywin continued to wage the war, it would be a war of vengeance unlikely to be supported by Highgarden that is after the marrying into the throne.
New trailer season 4. Fucking lol'd at the dragon flying over king's landing. Unless i'm mistaken and thats not KL, the show writers are just teasing the show watchers. Cause those dragons ain't coming for many seasons
We knew it was coming, but Jaime/Joff interaction is another change I didn't want. Anything other than a highly estranged relationship with Jaime not present during the PW has too many unfortunate ripples.
That bit at the beginning with a huge dragon shadow over KL isn't just a tease, it is borderline trolling.
The Dany line is interesting to me because of how it relates to the discussion of her trajectory post book 5. If the show is going to have her adopting a policy of "correcting" the Ghiscari civilization through fire as of the approach to Meereen that foretells big changes to her rule of Meereen and direction afterwards. How does the Dany who says that as of book 3 content end up in floppy ears bending over to her enemies in the next section? Also, if it is to later dovetail back with the books then it is support to the "Meereen and Yunkai will burn" theory.
