Fantastic this week.
The Ramsay reveal was delicious haha
One thing I'm a bit uneasy about is the direction they're taking Margery. The rate at which Cersei is growing increasingly insecure of her seems like they're getting way too ahead of themselves. Most of that's supposed to come in the 4th book. Considering how boring FfC was, I'd say they need to conserve all the material they can for that season.
In addition, I feel like in the books there was a preserved aura of mystery about her. While reading, I was never really sure whether she was actually kindhearted or if she's in fact more cunning and power-hungry than Cersei. The show seems to be less subtle about it and is quickly painting her as a manipulative bitch, :p

Best episode ever, such a delight

No, in SoS after gaining the unsullied she has that falling out with Jorah in which she finds out he was involved in a plot to assassinate her. At least that's what I think happens, been awhile since I read the book

The TV-series will most likely combine the two books into 2-4 seasons with the events of DwD and FfC happening simultaniously continuing where they left of in ASOS, as they should do.

I hope Berric/Dondarrion is a good long fight. Haven't read ASoS in awhile... What else is soon to happen? Things I recall:
- Jon is gonna hang in the cave with Ygritte soon and will be climbing the wall, - things in Kings Landing should be a bit slow until the wedding, - Coldhands will make an appearance in a couple of episodes for Sam's arc, - Bran still needs to split up with his brother, and eventually reach the wall, - Robb should be setting up his uncle's wedding, - Arya/Hound should be interesting, - something with Davos, - Dany marches and hopefully somehow maintains her awesomeness in the show (and not the books), - Theon is about to get super fucked, - A BEAR.
Not sure if that covers everything. Did I miss anything or get anything wrong?
EDIT: Missed Sansa getting fucking crushed (especially after today's scene) and married to Tyrion. Sigh. The red wedding is this season too. It is hard to say how 'far' Theon will get. How far towards what? They have to give him a season and a half of stuff to do before he shows up with content from the books again. The only thing they "need" to do in that time is break him to the point of becoming Reek. The preview a week or so ago showed a Thoros/Melisandre scene. That is big known change with who knows what implications for Arya/Gendry/BwoB/Stannis/Davos. Most likely Arya will not be impacted, but she might. Tywin informing his children of their marriage arrangements and possibly the presentation of the new Lannister valyrian swords promise to be great upcoming Tywin scenes. Also looking forward to him forcing Joff to do something. Unless giving away Sansa to Tyrion counts that will be something new. All he did along those lines was send Joff away from a small council meeting. I like Dany when she speaks valyrian. She is book 3 Dany right now. That is awesome. It seems the show is usually at its best when it is either paving entirely new ground (Theon) or sticking close to the books (a reasonably decent portion of the scenes in this episode, particularly the best ones towards the end and everything Jaime/Brienne). It is when they do something in between that it can be pretty weak (like all of Dany's s2 arc, or everything about Cat and Robb).
I really hated what they did with Cat and Robb and whateverthisgirl'snameisIforgethisnewwife when I was watching season 2 as it aired, but in retrospect I think it will make TRW hit that much harder for TV viewers. Needless to say I can't wait.
Dany's still got to sack Meereen with some Jorah drama baked in, but we need material for season 4 since ASoS is being split into two seasons. Not sure how the pacing will be.

There is still room for a lot of "backtracking" when it comes to Danys storyline, Barristan has lots of holes to fill about Aerys and Rhaegar. I imagine her scenes in the following episodes will consist of her bonding with Selmy and asking questions about the rebellion and her family
|
Dany still has to conquer Yunkai and send Gruffy Bear Mormont off. Considering the last episode is called Mhysa, I think we will see her on top of the Mereen pyramid this season.
|
I doubt we'll see Meereen this season. You can see Yunkai on the map, but the third city of Slavery Bay is missing. Anyways, this episode was unreal. Easily one of the best episodes ever.

Damn last episode was good. When I see the army I almost wish Daenerys had gone straight for westeros

Not sure how Beric can walk with those massive BALLS OF STEEL :D
Sweet episode as expected.

As for last episode, I wish they showed us how Unsullied cleared the whole city of slavers, I think the viewers will not be clear on this. Also I wanted to see freed slaves chant to her Mother and follow her out of the city. Also viewers are rightfully asking how is she going to feed 8000 soldiers, they should have showed them get food from city before moving on. They sacrificed all of this for the scene of her troops leaving the city when they could have put it all in with another 1 minute of screen time.

I'm never going to doubt Dan and David again. What an ep. Not a scene I didn't like. Even fucking Ros was entertaining and good.
HNGGGGG.
And all glory to Daenerys Stormborn, Queen of Meereen, The Andals, Rhoynar and the First Men, Breaker of Chains, Mother of Dragons, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms and Protector of the Realm. Emilia Clarke stepped it up to god mode, I had a giant throbbing erection the whole Astapor reveal.
And Sophie Turner made me cry. When she was tearing up I immediately thought about what was going to happen to her and I was incredibly sad.
This is now my favourite series ever. A fantasy story done right.

From the non book thread: "I hate Sam. I wish they'd really just kill and eat him. He is worthless. He has done nothing for the night watch. He is fat slow weak cowardly and can't even handle simple tasks. If I were there I'd just wait for good moment and kill him myself and then claim white walkers probably got him."
They cannot skip Sam killing a whitewalker. Because atm Sam is what this guy says, pretty useless. He's done nothing really, he's like Lori from the walking dead.

That last scene was so well done lol.

Still need to introduce Daario as well as sack Yunkai and occupy Meereen
Also, any fans of Torchwood or Misfits should recognise the upstart man of the watch as Owen and Ramsey as Simon

It's going to be sad to watch the non-book readers feel that gradual slump of disappointment after disappointment as Dany goes from what happened last night to dreaming of Daario and doing nothing and feeling helpless in Meereen as she is undermined by the Harpy, and is no closer to moving to Westeros.
Basically an extended version of what already happened From end of season 1, to what happened in s2 for Dany's storyline.
I just hope the Daznak's Pit scene in ADWD looks at least + Show Spoiler [ this good ] +

I'm waiting for these fucking dragons to actually be big

I've watched a YouTube video of the Rains of Castamere where someone commented "I like that song, even though I am with House Stark". I can totally imagine him as one of the anonymous soldiers of Robb's army, walking to the Twins with his King :')
