I just love Varys so so so much, and having him re-appear like that after disappearing since SoS was more than gratifying. He's got a crossbow! I love it! I have to point out the Janos Slynt's execution, that feeling when I learned he was going to be decapitated :D

Acknowledging him to be the a man that does things that have to be done himself, like his Father.

I was reading the chapter, in SoS, when Jon is fucked over by Thorne and Slynt, and I couldn't sleep afterwards. Had to read another chapter, to distract myself. The next chapter was Tyrion's trial by battle ![]() i feel for you man, that was the part when i was like -fuck this shit-, the Red Wedding i understood, but to introduce the most bad-ass character just to kill it off unnecessarily half a book later. GRRrrrrr....

Unsullied are definitely not stimmed up Spartans. Their advantage is absolute obedience and being nearly impervious to pain. Being buff kinda requires testicles.

Being buff kinda requires testicles. Yeah, I always imagined the unsullied as kind of fat, actually. And they are described (and eunuchs in general) as such a few times. Though, obviously they don't all look identical, even though that's part of the idea of the unsullied; to lose your identity. I'm so hyped to see them in the TV show, because even though we hear so many horrible things about what they do to become non-human and detached from emotion, I don't think we ever see how they fight, in detail.

![]() That makes me want to believe that they are going to turn Dany around and make her reasonably like her circa Storm of Swords book version. Or at least do that scene well. Maybe? Can I at least hope because she looks like someone was just informed about how dragons do not take well to slavery? Oh, but the irony...damn you Meereenese knot. And what about the book 5 regression towards something is almost like what she had been in the show...ahh, fuck. Well, at least it looks like Drogon will be hosting another fun breaking-the-cgi-budget-barbecue early-ish season 3. As he should be. Edit: On unsullied, they are called fat-leaning in the context of the guards various wealthy people across Essos buy them to be. The ones who stand around all day for years. In the books the fact that the "active" or "fresh" ones are very lean and fit is mentioned directly. Their helms are missing points though, so...PITCH. FORKS.

whole bunch of sneak peeks at new characters including Tormund, a couple Tullys, Jojen & Meera, and Dondarrion the Unsullied caps lacking spikes is definitely sparking some nerd rage right now

I doubt we will see them fight in the show either. With the exception of the Blackwater there hasn't been any battles played out on the screen, and even that was scaled back significantly compared to the books due to TV budget. We probably won't get the fist of the first men battle either unfortunately.

Missed this one. Jojen looks about right. Shireen will be prettier than in the book. Orell, hope he won't look too much like he did in the Office or Pirate of the carribean, please no comical relief with him .Meera Reed, will do fine, had her with blacker hair and pointy nose but Meera is more about the attitude than the look, we'll see. Queen of thorns -> Perfect Dondarrion, fine Thoros of Myr, not sure, have to see him in action. And of course, Missandei, omg <3
