Where is the Reeds? Rodrick captured alone? Huh? Why did Osha sleep with Theon when she could have just killed the guard without sleeping with him? (and why not just kill him then?) The fake hanging of Bran and Rickon... uh... poorly executed... (nuts... really???) Now the burning of Winterfell... confusing... If they had just stuck to the original storyline and perhaps cut out the Reeds... it would have been perfectly fine...

They butchered many parts of book 2 but this one was one of the least butchered. Reeds are being casted for Season 3. They are not integral to the story for season 2. Bran will just run into them in the woods and they will travel with him. Rodrick part was stupid, but can be explained he was returning to tell Ironborn have fled (he probably thought they fled back to their ships). Osha sleeping with Theon let her get a weapon and sneak out unnoticed. Otherwise she would be under guard or locked like everyone else. I don't have a problem with fake hanging. Winterfel being burned will be confusing for most viewers, but some will figure it out. They wanted to leave it as a cliffhanger. People will be asking "Why was Winterfel burned?" until the start of next seasons and will tune in to find out.

Theon/Winterfell and all the screentime devoted to Robb's horseshit that was totally un-necessary were my 2 main complaints. I didn't really care too much about the Dany rewrites because I don't care about Dany, and the Jon/Quorin one doesn't feel that horrible. There seriously must have been 45 minutes of Robb+Jubisa or whatever her name was. Discussing it over with his mom really? wtf? The whole point of the red wedding was that Robb married Jeyne totally suddenly and out of the blue and the red wedding was relatively shocking. Yeah, there were hints, but it wasn't like Catelyn saying "HEY ROBB YOU BETTER NOT CROSS WALDER FREY YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO MARRY HIS INCEST DAUGHTER REMEMBER?!?!!?" Reaaalllly should have included Reek/Ramsay, the way the north was handled was just kinda bad without him.

They even had the Maester there to explain shit to them and everything...but all he said was "they burned everything." Who the fuck is they? Very confusing. I read the books and I still have no fucking clue who "they" are. The show makes it seem like it couldn't have been Roose's bastard because he was ordered by Roose from Robb's camp to liberate winterfell. But then why would they enter an empty winterfell and randomly decide to burn it. Like "hmm no ironborn here, we better put it to the torch just in case though!". It must have been that Dagemar and the remaining ironborn burned it before they left.

I would hypothesize that the Ironborn got word of the deal Robb proposed, burned the city, and walked passed the northmen with their permission.

Even a "bad guy" won't build the most indestructible safe in the world to protect... absolutely nothing! I mean they could have just as easily rewritten that scene so Dany and her retinue loots Xaro's safe to get their money. Instead they were like "well herp derp, Xaro built this safe for no comprehensible reason whatsoever, oh well, let's steal everything from Qarth, because it's not like there' any guardsmen around" I think the point was that Xaro used the illusion of being super rich to become king of Qarth and attempt to woo Dany and her dragons. In reality, he was n----- rich. That feels so racist, but it fits too well. ![]()

You think they would have been let to walk out after BURNING WINTERFELL and KILLING ALL IT'S PEOPLE? I highly doubt it.

It must have been that Dagemar and the remaining ironborn burned it before they left. It is simple. They heard they are going to be let free if they deliver Theon. They open the door with Theon captured to deliver him. When they exit they get killed and then the people get killed and Winterfel burned like in the book. The only difference of these scenes and the ones from the book is Theon opened the doors of Winterfel and let them in. In the book Theon is the idiot, this time his men are.

Hate to be a writer for mass media these days. They dumb it down and it is attacked for being "hollywood" or, worse, "disney". They keep it smart and too many people misunderstand it.

You bitch and you bitch loudly, otherwise people fuck shit up and think it's okay to fuck shit up. I generally prefer to take a positive outlook on things. I always have a few things to nitpick in nearly every episode, but overall I enjoyed this season and am exicted for the next one. Every time I hear and watch the title sequence I get all giggity. Watching those cities come to life in front of my eyes is still fucking awesome. I thought Dany's rewrite was acceptable, although I was really hoping they'd do the HotU shit. I wanted to see that in TV form... But the way they rewroe Jon was just BAD. Fucking WHY? There was NO REASON TO CHANGE IT. Not just the whoel JOn/Quorin thing int he last episode -- all of it! Even the fucking small things. Jon asking to come with Quorin, not being asked to. Jon fucking up every step of the way. It was his fault that his party died in the show. That's NOT what happened and it's a major change. Him building up that relationship with Quorin. Quorin's backstory being revealed and being shown what a badass he is. Their escape. Jons warging. The inevitable sacrifice. Jon was transformed from a noble, well intentioned guy who was doing well in his situation (ie not fucking everything up) and was turned into a pussy who got outsmarted by a wildling girl, killed his friends, and then killed his commanding officer because he called his mother a whore. Yes, I understand that they coudln't have put all of that in. Its a lot of shit to go over and their time is limited. But they could have been close with the amount of screentime they gave that plotline. Seroiusly, a converation of 'oooo wow its Quorin he's so badass' 'what why?' 'got into a fight, stopped an axe blow with his HAND (thats why he's called Halfhand!!) and then learned to fight with his LEFT hand better than he ever could with his right!' 'oooo wow what a badass :O' 30 seconds of fucking screentime. You build a relationship between Quorin/Jon instead of make a joke about how Jon has a boner because he's cuddling with some chick. Gah, fuck. On June 04 2012 16:38 Cedstick wrote: What's with all this complaining about Qhorin's end? Are there seriously that many people who just up-and-forgot his talk with Jon before cursing him a traitor? Come on, people -- even that WinterIsComing blog missed it. I disagree with this opinion for the reasons stated above. Did she actually betray them or is she just getting killed for sleeping with Xaro? For that matter, wht the hell did HE do to deserve death? It's not like he helped her dragons get stolen... ...oh. He did? He was in a pact with the warlocks -- "her dragons for my kingship" type of thing? I figured that out while typing. I could be wrong though. Someone explain, I am confuse. EDIT: Also: To those of you reading both threads, I ask if you would kindly point out any interesting posts or conversations they've got going on over there. Its like 12x more active than this one and I just can't keep up, and I always get an urge to post... but I'm not allowed, becuase I know everything. EVERYTHING. Except for like, the stuff I asked about a few lines ago. EDIT2: Oh. And like, fuckin, Sam? What about Sam? Guys? No one said shit about Sam. Yes, the Walking Dead stuff going on was cool as hell. Yes, that dead horse was sooooo awesome holy shit they actually upt in a dead horse. The White Walker was creepy. It also IGNORED SAM. What? The thing rode up next to him, looked at him, and screamed. I mean thers no way he's getting out of that alive. He's in the center of the horde now. I was all excited becuase I though Slayer was about to be born. Instead what we really get is... realsitically, a dead Sam. EDIT3: Oh. My post is really long. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to. Thanks for reading, I guess. If you did.
