And was also expecting Jon to be asked to come along, can't really understand why they changed it, seems more detrimental to his character making him look like a young kid that wants to go to school for the first time and while that may be what they wanted, I don't think I like him more or find him more interesting because of it. Same. There's supposed to be trees! I guess they just decided to go for somewhere a bit more open to make the action scenes there clearer or something. === I'm glad they renamed asha...she's coming across as nothing like the book character T_T ===== Jaqen is great, he and Arya are going to have some great scenes. I'm finding it funny how many people seem to misremember the whole red god thing though xD ========= Looks like we get to meet Ygritte next week.

Though, I hope they have something very smart planned to replace arya killing tickler in ASOS while yelling "IS THERE GOLD IN THE VILLAGE" because that moment was monumental for her. I don't think it was a bad idea to have the tickler killed in this way. I mean, yeah, in the books that was one of those utterly, utterly awesome scenes to read, but in the show they simply could not build enough of a relation between Arya and the tickler to make it work. The large majority of the people would most likely not even remember him if he'd appear some time next season, and would wonder why it is supposed to be so significant that Arya kills him. A pity that we lost an awesome scene, but that's how it is.

Its too bad the Andals kick banned them for Firsting.

And then, she has the whole convo with Jaqen about the rules of killing people? And she asks him to kill himself? And then shes like, trololol just kidding, and he pretty much breathes a sigh of relief? But I think that explained that he couldnt kill certain people..i might be wrong. Also somebody wrote something about misremembering, I also didnt remember jaqen being associated with the red god... O_O is that really the case? He worships the many-faced god, which in turn pays reverence to all gods. Since she saved him, Biter, and Rorge from the flames, she deprived the red god specifically of three lives. That is why the red god, and not any other gods from any other faiths, demands the sacrifices. I don't necessarily mind her choosing The Tickler, considering it would be hard for them to introduce some of the characters she killed off in the books and give them enough screen time for us to properly hate them before she has them assassinated. Didn't particularly care for how they portrayed the Fist f the First Men though...I just imagined a defensible hill in a clearing in the forest. It's what makes the scene where The Others come that much more frightening.

overall though I think the show is coming along well, given the time that they have. And whilst things like how they pronounce brienne and the like annoy me every time, other things like arya do make me pretty happy and pumped for whats to come

Not important at all but did anyone else not imagine it like it is in the show? It's like a giant cliff thing. I imagined it as a really steep hill. Still, a hill... not a mountain, which this is closer to. I guess it's not really important. The small differences from my imagination are what stand out the most for me. The Fist of the First Men is supposed to be a ringfort on a hill surrounded by forests, not a random snowy mountain surrounded by other snowy mountains. When the others and wights attacked they came out from the forest. I don't know how the night's watch will get ambushed out in the middle of nowhere with miles of vision in every direction. This was my biggest problem with the episode as well. Needs more forest, why would they film these scenes on Iceland. :[

He was supposed to be slashed open(at the neck yeah?) from ear to ear, I think that the whole scene was so anticlimactic really they could have done a lot better job with it. They could do better with the shadow and the lights getting dim and the way Renly died. It looked like a death of no one important really -.- Reading that chapter I was left in shuck for a few minutes and this scene didn't deliver that at all(I watched the episode with friends of mine who haven't read the books and I checked their facial expressions). Also there was something else that bugged me about this episode: I don't know why the writers decided to give the credit to Cerci about the wildfire, It should have been Tyrions plan, it was an important part of the development of his character about his wits and will of his, it all went wrong now about that he really wants to save the city, atm he looks like he is busy playing games with Cerci and some other bullshit which isn't protecting the city from armies which means Tyrion isn't doing his job well.

She appears to Dany in a garden In Meereen and warns her about a bunch of stuff.
