Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book. |

So far I'm liking season 2. Its part of my regular line up of shows. Walking Dead, Boardwalk Empire, Sons of Anarchy, Hell on Whells. If it wasn't about Lori's pregnancy I don't know what it would be about. That's the one thing that makes sense that he would say. As for your zombie-baby theory, that just makes no sense and would be totally out of left field.

Wait what Lori's infected?

Though I also like Glenn and T-Dog, two characters that I feel have not seen enough airtime to see who they actually are. I'm really looking forward to next week and see if the rest of the group is going to find out what's happening in that barn. And let's hope they finally find the damn girl, lol. It's taking too long. Sadly but the girl is + Show Spoiler +dead. The producers said there would be death early on and since no one else has been killed its 100% going to be the little girl. + Show Spoiler +Lori carries Shane's baby and Daryl is going to turn into zombie
You are clearly just speculating. No need to put stuff in spoilers if you are just speculating. Your speculation of Sophia is wrong because + Show Spoiler + The little girl didnt die in the comic, so how are you so sure she going to die? She seems to play key role in the comic. You are basing this off the fact that the director said that someone is going to die. This could be Daryl or T-Bone but either one of them can die because they were not apart of the comic. They are the most likely to die. Although the writer said the Daryl will eventually show up in the comic so the one that most likely to die is T-Bone or the black guy I dont remember his name because he hasnt got much air time lately.

It's almost criminal what AMC has done to the walking dead especially with what other shows AMC has produced. The comic series is vastly superior and is a must read if you like the show. + Show Spoiler +The comic is so dark. It depicts Rick slowly losing his humanity. I love the comic's central theme that while the walking dead is a threat, the true danger comes from humans. There's a ton of gore and literally no character is untouchable. The author has said he's willing to kill off any character. Spoiler alert for anybody with the hots for maggie + Show Spoiler + Glenn and Maggie gets married so she'll be around the series for a long while You haven't really touched on where the show misses it's mark in this regard though. The show has been pretty dark so far from what I can tell, it's kept to the general story of the comic, adding and subtracting as it goes, which keeps things interesting. The Rick in the show right now, is where Rick was in the comics at around this point. On do address more specific stuff... + Show Spoiler +In the show, we've already seem him start to lose his faith, it's a slow transition into the version of Rick that exists in the most recent chapter of the comics, at the point we are at now, Rick is pretty similar. Character deaths have been pretty similar as well, and at this point in the comic it wasn't like any character was a big deal anyway. There were plenty of teases in the comics as well for characters that ended up surviving, it keeps the audience on their toes. So far in the show, there has been no lack of gore and I don't see anything to suggest that any character is untouchable. Not sure what your specific gripe is based on your post. Reread the first 12-13 chapters which is where the tv show is at and I guess I was a bit harsh. Both are lackluster up to this point. This is about where the comic really takes off and I don't think the TV series can live up to it. Comic spoiler + Show Spoiler + The prison arc is coming up soon and i'll save judgement after the tv series finishes that. When I was talking about lack of gore I was more about human on human violence. It ll be curious to see if they ll show Rick beating that prisoner to death with his bare hands, the governor cutting off tyreese's head or when michonne tortures the governor.
Or remember when the governor starts making out with the little zombie girl. I remember being stunned for like 5 mins and being like 'holy shit thats fucked up'. This would clearly never make it on to TV.
+ Show Spoiler [More comic talk] +Indeed, I'm finding myself hanging around not because of the current cast (most of whom I don't care for) but to see Tyreese, Michonne, and the Governor.
And you're forgetting about one of the most gruesome (and satisfying) instances of human-on-human violence. Michone vs the Governor. Man the more I think about it I just can't wait for her to walk into this series. From the moment she is introduced up until the last issue I've read in the comic she just does not fail to deliver. If they get Michonne, the Governor, and the Prison arc right I'll really be back on board, but as of right now I'm sorta on cruise control with this series.

People are just wanting to see zombies so bad that they just put up every kind of made up theory possible.

It will be interesting to see how Rick takes it when Lori (or even Shane) tells him about it, since we assume he already knows from Dr. Jenner at the S1 climax.

Uh... + Show Spoiler + How can Sophia be dead when she becomes the girlfriend of Carl in the comics...?

I think Andrea had her "i'm an idiot" moment this episode, but it also doubled as her arrival as a sharpshooter. they've been building up the whole gun thing with her for awhile and it's clear that she wants to shoot things, and hey! she hit her first target right?! wasn't a bad shot, and it worked out that she only grazed the target as it actually was not a zombie lol... I think she can only go upwards from here as a badass sniper/useful character.
One thing that hasn't been brought up yet is the development between Shane and Rick... Shane appeared to me less humane and harsher in this episode than any other so far; you can really see the effect his decision with Otis had on him. I feel like Shane is just becoming more and more dangerous, and after he tells Lori "you and Carl are the only people I care about" and she basically throws it in his face...idk, it doesn't seem to bode well for his mental state. he makes me nervous >.<
My sexy first post for those who missed it

Funny you predict this as 100% because i am pretty near 100% sure myself that she will turn out ok.

My feelings when Daryl was struggling were basically - you better not kill him off or i'll be pissed. Phew. I hope they move on from the farm soon, and open the barn door as they leave as a thank you
Scumbag Shane! + Show Spoiler +

I thought they were all passively infected to where if they died naturally they would turn? Again I'm not claiming to be right I'm asking questions and coming up with messed up scenario's....

No, if you get bit you will turn into one. That happened with the guy who was left behind in the road, and the sister of Andrea too, I think.

The only reason I'm watching this show is for Daryl. He is a true badass, I can't wait to see what he does next.

WWDD. He's out of arrows now isn't he?

I would say he grabbed the arrow from the walker he killed.

well, Zombies don't exactly qualify as "Livestock", so they might lose their farm subsidies

Hershel even says the boy survived because the bullet was slowed by the deer.

comic spoiler: + Show Spoiler + So what? Shane was killed off early in the comics and Otis wasn't killed by Shane. The producers have already said that they don't plan on following the comics religiously and will instead cover only the same major plot points.
