Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book. |

No Glenn = Koreans would stop watching? Are you fucking kidding me. I suppose black people are going to stop watching if it was Rosita?

It's a zombie-apocalypse TV show. I remember the farm, Season 2. Now that was terrible. This is entertaining. Sometimes it makes logistical mistakes, but... this isn't "The Wire" (although it does like using The Wire's actors). It's zombie apocalypse, and zombie apocalypse has never been done better.
As for the cliffhanger: It's Aaron.
Why was he even on the RV? I almost forgot the dude existed at all. It's amazing he isn't dead yet. He has no plot-line, no purpose, other than to get killed.

I think it's Daryl - he just started his own TV show and if you've noticed, Daryl has really been less and less part of the community. Although, I've stopped watching the show with 100% focus... I do think that this season finale was such a blunder... So much filling.

Yeah safe bet is that it is Aaron as we haven't seen Eric in almost two years...

Killing aaron would be the stupidest cop out ever. They NEED to kill an ultra core to gain at least some respect back.

For all the hype Negan was kinda underwhelming. I'm more stoked they added Trevor from GTA 5 as a character.

the only other would be sasha based on the order, the shadows on rick's face, which is confirmed by nodding right to where carl was.

This is AMC with Scott Gimple as the head, the guy whose idea it was to have Nicholas land on Glenn and be eaten then somehow change it to Glenn hiding under a dumpster so he could return 3-4 episodes later.

I still find it odd that this is AMC as AMC is BB and BCS...granted those have Vince Giligan as the head...
EDIT: Gimple has mentioned that he relates the Negan scene to the hatch opening up in LOST...which is stupid. Considering that mystery was what LOST was built on they had an environment that allowed for something like that to work.

The cuts from the first person perspecitve of someone in a box could be foreshadowing of the final scene which is also in first person. If you take that along with the "Champ" line that probably signifies male you are left with Daryl and Glenn as possible targets.
That being said, I don't put it past AMC that they were bluffing about any hints in the episode and are just going to pick whoever would keep ratings high.

The least painful would be Aaron (he had no business being on the team in the first place) or Rosita. The most likely candidates are probably Abraham and Eugene because they got a lot of screen time in the last few episodes.
Negan's group seems to have at least 100-200 people in total. Makes it even more laughable that Rick said they'd kill them all without knowing their numbers, and the Hilltop just accepted without a second thought.

Why the fuck would Hilltop not tell them they are such a large organisation?

Also it's a safe bet the first episode will be back Alexandria to cover Gabriel etc. Also expect flashbacks.

What a lame season finale...

I think TWD has gotten really stupid over the last few seasons, which actually is great. I think it's a stupid show and it's fun. The worst parts was when it tried to be more than it could be in terms of narrative depth or whatever. Now that it's a slugfest I've been having fun. The plot is ridiculous and some decisions people make are so bad it'd be frustrating if I was crazy enough to give it any thought.
-Carol the killing machine suddenly snaps because killing people is too much. She leaves thinking "surely they won't follow me", and she endangers everyone.
-Daryl the other killing machine, who's saved people after they've made stupid decisions, also leaves on a personal vendetta, endangering everybody's life in the process. He knows how it works. He's been put in shit situations like this and knows not to be reckless. Still does it.
-Then there's the bad guys. "Resources are limited, let's orchestrate an elaborate scheme to bottleneck these people into our trap". Super absurd. The cliffhanger is dumb.
And yet I think it's fine. Not the greatest episode by itself but it opens on an "interesting" antagonist. I mean what else are they going to do, more character drama? What are they going to do that they haven't done before? Run out because they're emotionally taxed? Done. Get killed by ninja walkers? Done. Find new people who turn out to be deceptive? Done. This episode was a bit disappointing but it's already stretched thin as fuck. Maybe I'm not imaginative and my low standards for TWD are silly but what do you people even want?

16 ep seasons just seem too much for this show. It really laboured this season with good episodes few and far between. It'll never happen but I think this show would benefit so much by dropping back to 10-12 episode seasons.

Maybe six, it is not that interesting anymore.

So the theory that Kirkman, and Gimple haven't decided who dies has pretty much been disproved. Production starts in 3 weeks.
