Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book.

The most logical reason for how they got the guy in the tank would be that at least part of his body for whatever reason was outside of the tank. His tank buddy was dead on the top of the tank so it is pretty likely that he was also outside the tank. While zombies are an important and awesome part of the comics, they are really about the way the author envisions people acting in a zombie apocalypse. The show seems to be very faithful to the comics. AMC may end up being one of the best channels on TV along with HBO and showtime if they continue putting out such high quality shows.

Actually the idea "a man wake up in a hospital into a post-apo world" was already done in The Day of the Triffids (1951 lol). Probably even sooner, because it's quite nice device to introduce the setting to the readers/viewers. The Walking Dead and 28 Days Later came around the same time (2003 resp. 2002) for anybody to claim some primacy. It was likely just a coincidence.

Slow zombies, while scary in large numbers, don't inspire terror the way fast zombies do. Slow zombies just kind of meander around, "oh look, some living flesh, I wouldn't mind eating some of that." Fast zombies behave like predators and their sole purpose of existing is to chase you down and feast/infect. The only problem with that is in 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later they weren't zombies. They were just normal people that were infected with a virus that made them hyper aggressive.

Fast zombies behave like predators and their sole purpose of existing is to chase you down and feast/infect. Slow zombies are more terrifying for me.They symbolize something inhuman, ghoulish and dreadful. Fast zombies don't really feel like 'zombies' to me, but more like rabies' infested crazy people, you know. While they obviously pose greater threat, slow zombies create a more morbid atmosphere and make you go "something is really fucked up in this place, these dead people are coming back from the dead and shambling around mindlessly filled with desire to eat me". You know xD The slowness just adds something scarier than just fear of dying because they are so fast and agile. Not to say "new age" zombies are bad, I enjoy that genre a lot I just think a lot of people don't give enough credit to the oldschool zombies

Old School Zombies [slow] are more about the surviving in an apocalypse world and the human relations. As they said in the comic and in the first ep, when they are alone they are easy, but when they are in groups, you better watch your ass.
