Seemed like a heavily edited episode, Carol firing on survivors from above yet they are getting shot in the back, also Rick survives a jeep crahs and crawls up the hill just to tell Daryl they are going back down. What?

Also a .50 caliber gun hitting anywhere on a Jeep would tear it to shreds.

Yeah the King actor is really good (funny because he's playing an actor). The 50 cal thing was rough. They did a pretty good job of showing the type of dmg it would do to bodies in the field, then the 50 cal doesn't do shit to the jeep, they didn't even put on the flash effects for him hitting the jeep for the first couple salvos.

RIP SHIVA your life was as long as the SFX budget would allow.

I feel the show transitioning into hate watching for myself, gotta have something to do in between Mr. Robot episodes though.

I don’t post in this thread much but my girlfriend and i recently caught up with the past few seasons. I hope you guys in this thread aren’t sensitive to negativity.

Overall the last few seasons were better than I expected to be honest. I heard a lot of bad things but I don’t think it was that awful. Mostly has some weird writing and direction issues like they don’t know what they want to be.

As for this season..

I don’t know how you could make an “all-out-war” more boring.

This new season somehow makes gunfights extremely boring. And there’s a lot of them. It’s kind of painful. I should have timed the last episode. Felt like a solid 8-10 minutes of just needless automatic weapons unloading in to idle cars. A zombie apocalypse creates scarcity for supplies so you’d think weapons would be more important or something. We get standoffs between main characters are literal nobodies, it has the dramatic tension of a three year old playing with lego. And there’s a lot of standoffs: in hallways, in corridors, in empty yards filled with abandoned cars, in front of the survivor’s hideout, etc, etc. It’s a lot.

Every main character seems to swing wildly between being extremely passive or extremely 80’s-style-action-hero. It’s hard to keep up with anyone’s motivations because they seem to just change on a whim.

It's not hard to see they're just milking the show at this stage. It's turned into a procedural show rather than one with a long term story line. There's too much ridiculous shit happening and the writers don't seem to really care.

It's the equivalent of a bad B movie now so might as well just laugh at the dumb stuff and go along for the ride. Basically Lost with zombies.

The first 4 seasons are great. 5 and 6 are okay. Season 7 is the worst season so far. Maggie look hot in the first 6 season and very bad in s7.

This season has been really fucking bad. Wonder if I will continue watching at this point but would be nice to see how the story ends..

oh and I thought he got hurt but he seems completely fine now. Guess that container with Gabriel had some medkits in it.

Rick has to be dreaming, right? When you add everything up that's what it points to imo. What happened to Carl, the earlier random dreams he had, Daryl going against his plan (this is when i started getting skeptical tbh) etc.
