Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book. |

I felt bad for the kid being tortured... I mean, you save him, then you try to leave him somewhere, then you decide not to do it, so you bring him back and torture him? I mean, either kill the guy, leave him in the group or drop him off somewhere, but don't torture him... What do you get? Any info he gives might be a lie, and even if it's not, what difference does it make? Either you trust he won't run (if he says he has friends) or you trust he wasn't lying (if he says he doesn't have)...
It just doesn't make much sense to me...

Oh... I didn't know that, guess I should have read the rest of that interview instead of just skimming it >.<

Not to mention that if he escapes, which it appears will be part of the plot next episode, how much you wanna bet he's now SUPER pissed at the group b/c of the torture? I'd say it's a pretty high probability.

Forgive me if I'm wrong but the zombies don't gain some sort of super-strength once they turn and we can reasonably believe that they get weaker the longer they are left alone (like in the swamp) but i'm willing to believe they never get weaker. But seriously just dumb.
It's a zombie show, this happens at least once in every zombie related media. If you want some kind of explanation here goes. Zombies are able to make use of 100% of their muscle mass because they don't care about pain or damaging their limbs. It's like those stories you hear about a 60 year old women lifting a car because her grandson is stuck under it.
Anyway the last few episodes of the show have been getting better, I don't watch this show for it's deep and meaningful story or amazing character development, I watch it because I love zombies. That being said I do wish they would kill of Andrea, the way she responds to other characters always seems condescending or non responsive (like when dale asked if she forgave him and she replies "i'm trying"). Also I wanted to strangle Carl for being so incredibly stupid in the last episode, but it did seem like something a kid his age might do.

I disagree about disliking the supporting characters. You can't have a show without a few characters that don't do or say much; their mere presence does change the group dynamic. Even with no lines, they are better acted and more likeable than Lori or Andrea. I think it was a mistake to kill off Dale, since he was one of the few characters that interacted with the group in an intelligent way.
Rick and Daryl are the only reasons I watch this show anymore, and the hopes that eventually something interesting will happen. I'm about at my limit of Andrea's disapproving mom looks and Shane's "oh boy" head rubs.

Don't really mind his death.
Carl's a annoying bigot (and I don't even know what a bigot means).
Good episode though, looking forward to the next few.

Fucking Carl is the most annoying little turd of a wiener kid if I ever saw one. It's even worse because my little brother used to look EXACTLY like him, dark hair, freckles and all when he was younger, and my little brother was the same kind of kid you just wanted to backhand sometimes. God I hate Carl.
I don't really mind Dale dying, but it would have been nice to see him put up some kind of fight. His death was the kind of cliche where you're just sitting there going "What the hell man? You heard moaning of some kind, why the shit wouldn't you whip out your gun INSTANTLY and do a 360º check?" Then he proceeds to walk up, see the dead cow (or whatever it was), derp around for a couple seconds, then turn around only to see a walker. The walker proceeds to wrestle dale for a half minute before piercing in to his stomache. I mean I know Dale was like 60-65 or so, but zombies aren't exactly bursting with energy; I was kind of expecting him to hold the walker off with one hand and give him a monster right hook in the face, knocking him off so he could get up and grab his rifle. Oh well.
I was pleasantly surprised to see everyone have an easy time deciding to put Dale out of his misery right away when they got there. Herschal looks at him and is instantly like "nope, sorry".

The only good thing that i got from watching this is finding about the graphic novel. Dear god the TV version seems retarded to me right now after reading it in the past few days. Carl is a badass in the comic but they just had to make him a retarded monkey in the TV show so i cant like him anymore :S
Dumb drama and retarded characters so far in TV version and I hope they dont shit on Daryl because he is 50% of the reason I will continue watching. I feel like the writers could have done a better job even if their budget is low or w/e is the reason they cant deliver... but oh well I will still watch it because there is nothing else similar to this on TV.

Not sure if its been mentioned, but they didn't put dale out of his misery simply because he was hurt and beyond repair. It was almost certain he was infected. In the previous episode they mentioned that some people had been turned to zombies because of scratches. So obviously a zombie tearing out your whole chest cavity would infect you.
I still think the series is OK, but this farm place is starting to get boring. There needs to be more "Apocalyptic Landscapes".

+ Show Spoiler [comic] +They're all infected. It doesn't matter if you die of old age, you would still turn into a zombie.
