As for the totem, I found another video of someone who had a promo totem and filmed it spinning -for 1 minute 6 seconds (which is clearly long enough for the last scene of the film) so happy ending hopefuls rejoice!

Was the fortress some sort of defense projection from Fischer's mind or something? But i think it was designed by Whatsherface (Ellen Paige) Why exactly did she do that? That was eams dream and they set it like that so Fischer can think it was the fathers right hand mans dream.

False. Whoever shot that video was in another person's dream.

Just before the cut, you see the same wobble the top makes as before. I believe that conclusively proves that Cobb is actually IRL. + Show Spoiler + Due to the team's repeated suggestions that there was a will in a safe by big daddy Fischer's bed, Fischer found exactly that in the 3rd level of dreams, even though there was not such thing. From this, it is my conclusion that the dreamer's ideas and preconceptions affect the dream state directly. Therefore, whether or not the top falls is inconsequential. It only proves that Cobb BELIEVES that he is in reality. Either way, the concept of the totem is rather confusing to me. If the top was initially Mal's totem, why didn't she check if she was in a dream in 'reality'(Level 0)? Maybe she did. And level 0 isn't reality at all. Mal was right all along, and Cobb is still stuck in a dream. Which would make sense if Cobb only adopted the top as his totem after Mal jumped, as he would never have felt the real top.

She lost her belief in the top's ability to show whether or not she was in a dream. Reminds me of the Little Albert experiment in which they tried to condition a child with a simple fear of a certain type of animal but resulted in the child eventually fearing fur in general.
