I've seen quite a few reposts of the same movies and went through all the pages on here and tried to compile a few for y'all that you may or may not have seen but are awesome none the less. I guess it's time to stop sneaking about on TL and start posting a little.

Even though not the classic, probably one of Carpenter's best horror/sci-fi films ever.

A dark comedy about a serial killer and parents wanting revenge.

A nice film I saw while in Ireland. Funny and reminded me of the movie Snatch.

A weird and just cheesy comedy horror about freakshow and a man that creates the exhibits.

A great Viking story based on a the novel by Michael Crichton

Not sure how big this is in Europe, but in America I had to order this through netflix to find it and watch. I liked it and reminded me of movies like Payback and such but with a older protagonist.

Just the best fantasy/Arnold movie of all time.

A really strange fantasy/french movie about a werewolf and some men that are hunting it. Kinda slow sometimes, but great story and great action scenes.

It's the Burbs, probably one of Tom Hanks best roles. I put this here with hopes that if you haven't seen it you will.

My fav Leslie Neilsen movie and I like a lot of his stuff. Just funny and brilliant.

Arena is a unique 80s movie that many people haven't seen. I hold it up there with Robot Jox and Tron and the older sci-fi movies.

The Final Sacrifice is probably one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. Not intentional of course, but Mystery Science Theater makes it so. I highly recommend you watch this and laugh.

Avenging Angelo is one of many Stallone's underground movies that is funny as well as a nice cliche Mob movie.

I've always loved this movie mainly due to the German guy in it. If you haven't seen it, you'll know what I mean. Just a funny movie for kids and adults. I still quote it to this day and I'm 29.

The second underground Stallone movie about him hunting a serial killer. Great story (kinda like most serial killer hunting movies) but was entertaining and with some other big star names in it too.

Machine Girl is just one of my fav Tokyo Gore movies of all time. It's bloody, it's funny, it's cheesy, it's awesome overall. :D

I'm sure this has been listed but damn this movie was good and so bad ass in it's awesomeness. The Korean version of Jason Bourne.

Yea, those two are great. I quote the german guy as well. Also the film rolling bit with Ben Stiller. "Are you rolling now Kenith?"

Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy is one of two George Smiley mini-series that the BBC did and are truly under appreciated films. It's Sir Alec Guinness at his best, playing a spy in the most accurate film about Cold War espionage I've ever seen or heard of.

Check it out if you get the chance :D

Great claustrophobic and psychological movie. Seemingly low budget sci fi but actually very well done.

Recently saw this movie, and it has to be one of the best "crime" movies i've ever seen.

Revolver, directed by Guy Ritchie.

(has a similar feel to movies like Lucky Number Slevin, Snatch, Lock Stock..., Rock'n'Rolla, and heist movies including the oceans series)

Omg yes. I've rated this my favorite movie for a while now, it is sooooo good. I just picked up the disc off my dad, not really sure of what I'd be getting, the only description he gave was "something about time travel". After watching it I just watched it another 5 times. It was that good.

Adventures of Power -- like napoleon dynamite but funnier

The Good, The Bad, The Wierd -- a korean-made shoot-em-up western, funny and good action

Sucker Punch -- this movie doesn't get enough respect, good action and with lots of depth if you want to look for it

The Fountain -- not a perfect film but an interesting sci-fi

That's all I can think of atm.

Great Woody Allen movie, especially for fans of Gypsy jazz / Guitar..

How can you not love Artie Lange??

btw - Whats a good movie thats kinda similar to 999: 9 days 9 doors 9 persons?? I mean something where the participants have to decide for themselves who survives and who dies, rather than being tortured by someone else like Saw..

I just saw this one and it was really good stuff. It is this specific genre films that I like a lot. A normal person looses a loved one and then uses arbitrary law. You get a decent director, a script with the same old plot and a Hollywood Star that is not necessarily an action hero.

A classic would be Charles Bronson in Death Wish:
---

Jodie Foster in The Brave One:

and Kevin Bacon in Death Sentence:
are newer ones.

A bit different plot, but still a great one man army film is Taken with Liam Neeson:

I really like Foster and Cane in these roles, because usually they play the good shepherds. This can be risky and bad for their image.

I've spent years trying to find what that film was, I remember watching it when I was younger and thinking it was the worst film I'd ever seen but all I could remember was the stupid ending =)

I'm going to need to rewatch it with a few drinks and see if it was as terrible as I remember!
When I grow up I want to be Harry Dresden ;(

i watched it recently and I liked it quite a lot. The Characters are a bit odd, they remind me of John Carpenter's as is the setting. Especially the lead actor wouldn't get many lead roles today, because he seems more like a supporting actor. This makes the movie strange. I also thought of Fassbinder movie 'Welt am Draht' a bit, because Klaus Loewitsch is a bit like this lead and the story is also a bit a mixture between science and mystical while being in this 80s setting. I would recommend it to people that enjoy suspense science fiction movies of that time. Someone who likes 2001, Solaris, Welt am Draht (go watch this if possible, its better than Matrix imho ) and Dark Star (more or less suspense).

So my last post I gave some just all around random movies. Now I'll give you all some great/cheesy horror films to melt over. Keep in mind some of these are REALLY graphic and put crap like The Human Centipede to shame.

B Film from the 80s that just cracks me up. Pretty graphic and weird gore.

I've always been a HUGE fan of the Puppet Master series. Give them a try, they are pretty damn good.

Great movie about Necromancy/Zombies. All 4 movies are pretty good, but the first one is the best.

THE vampire movie I have always enjoyed. Even moreso than the old old Boris Karloff movies.

A film about Witches and Killer dolls. What more do you need?

One of the best Tales From the Crypt movies. Billy Zane is a master in this! :D

PLEASE PLEASE say that you've seen this. If not, this is by far one of the best and goriest zombie movies of all time.

Hard to describe... A very colorful movie by the South Park creators... Just give it a shot if you're in for the weird stuff.

Only watch this IF you have a strong strong stomach. Some people are unaffected by it... extreme gore doesn't bother me.... but this is a little beyond that. Good luck.

A unique Australian zombie film. Okay acting and plot. I enjoyed the kool weapons.

RANDOM Movies.

A humorous take on Vikings and that time period. lol

A funny old school movie about two old lady serial killers.
