Take Heat for example. Sort of a crime movie, with some personal life issues of the 2 main characters. Now these 2 are De Niro and Al Pacino, if you ever saw mafia movies you know these two, and you have there Natalie Portman (who already played in an awesome film by then, Leon). I cant imagine given the cathegory/topic and the actors somebody would be surprised it's good, neither can i imagine this is someone's first movie with these actors in it. It would be amazingly surprising if it wasnt good
