Trippy movie I watched recently. It's got mad good acting and it really captures the play its based on. Its a existential parody of hamlet. It's pretty technical and artsy tho, so don't watch it unless you like that kind of thing.

An absolutely incredible movie about the value of life. Do yourself a favor and watch this, I can not recommend it enough. I've shown this to a lot of people and not one of them has ever watched it without crying hysterically at some point.

I think it made something like $500,000 dollars at the box office. I remember seeing it in theaters and being blown away. Even at 13. It's been accepted into my movie hall of fame since. An amazing mood piece that thinking people can get a lot out of. Especially people with movement on the brain.

I remember seeing the trailer for Fight Club when I was 8 or 9. It didn't red flag any of its social commentary. It was just Brad Pitt acting silly and a lot of dark sets. I didn't end up seeing it until middle school. Definitely in my top 5 of all time.

This is actually one I expected to be good. But it's one of those gems people tend to lump into the "quirky comedy" category. It's actually a lot more than that. In its colorful comedy fluff there exists a great deal of serious existential philosophy. A truly rare find. Great writing and performances on top of it.

I didn't expect this to be as good as 21 Grams (a more Hollywoody film by the same writer/director), but it far-surpassed it. I watched it while sober one night in high school and couldn't get it out of my head. The most emotionally packed film I've seen. And my favorite movie to boot.

A lot of others, I'll add as I think of them!

Watched I <3 Huckabees, terrible movie. Any person who has any idea on existential philosophy would laugh at the terrible bullshit technical language used.

section b13 is a french movie but you can watch it in english but the lip sync is off but the movies was FUCKING AMAZING omg the stunts the action EVERYTHING ABOUT WAS GREAT the plot was funny yet serious

That movie was realllly bad. I don't recommend it. Keanu Reeve is not Hellblazer, wtf. The entire plot was pretty bad too. I really enjoyed the first 20ish minutes of that and it just goes downhill from there.

This thread is going to be really useful in a couple of weeks when it's nothing but broken image links without anyone actually writing the name of the film.

Might also be difficult if you don't speak _EVERY LANGUAGE IN THE WORLD_ People are just posting images of crazy japanese, swedish, chinese, korean, french, italian, spanish, and like every other possible language that a movie has been made in, but not bothering to write the titles or tell anyone anything about it.

Although, with most of the thread being movies that every human on the planet has seen 73 and a half times (braveheart, fight club, children of men, etc.etc.etc.) Maybe it's best that they appear as a bunch of broken links.

Great 80's sci-fi/thriller.

If you've never watched this film before, PLEASE GO WATCH IT. One of the best movies I've seen.

I didn't know what to expect from this hugely popular (and hilarious) Swedish comedy & satire team, as they released their first feature film. More broad satire? Well, we do get four contemporary, exceptionally memorable tales of family pains, generation gaps and fatherhood, in particular. But it's drama, thankfully, and what drama! Epic in its scope, as each episode is from carefully picked, geographically different parts of Sweden. But each story could seriously carry a whole movie, if expanded separately.

It's dark, twisted, harrowing, yet massively entertaining and breathtakingly executed. Script, acting and cinematography are absolute world class, as three hours seem to get by in a blink! It's four shades of mastery, and easily one of the best films in the nations' cinema history. It's Sweden's answer to "Short cuts" or "Magnolia", if you like, and instantly on par with those!
