You just made me so happy... I love the way Studio Ghibli and Miyazaki MAKE their films... But I only like a select few of them. Not only does it have Ben Lee (singer not an actor, but does a fantastic job), it has the beautiful Rose Byrne (also an Australian gem) and is witty and poignant. My favourite movie ever. | ||

And I never expect Bruce Willis movies to knock me down. But 12 Monkeys is a really special piece of film. It didn't red flag any of its social commentary. It was just Brad Pitt acting silly and a lot of dark sets. I didn't end up seeing it until middle school. But it's one of those gems people tend to lump into the "quirky comedy" category. It's actually a lot more than that. In its colorful comedy fluff there exists a great deal of serious existential philosophy. A truly rare find. I watched it while sober one night in high school and couldn't get it out of my head. The most emotionally packed film I've seen. And my favorite movie to boot. Its like #205 on imdb 8.2 if i recall just out on dvd last week, and hollywood is gonna remake it and as usual shit all over it  remember what happened to the ring? lol | ||
