The people who frequent this thread are a little more old school and favor Trance, some Progressive House, that kind of thing and may not be the best for recommending that particular type of music (from what I've seen). But yeah, the popular DJ's play that kind of stuff- big room, electro, etc. Try flipping through some sets from Ultra and a couple major festivals, you'll find some producers and songs that fit your tastes.

I mean that's how I've found some gem sets from youtube, and that's for techno and house. Apologize if I came off a bit rough but as I said earlier just a bit of effort would have gotten him to what he's looking for. If he wants DJ names then I suggest: Swedish House Mafia, I know they broke up, Steve Angello, Axwell, Hardwell, Avicii, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Tiesto, David Guetta, Steve Aoki, W&W, Afrojack, Ummet Ozcan - unfortunately, Diplo, Sebastian Ingrosso just to name a few of the top ones. I know this will hurt some but half of the ASOT 700 line ups play this style for at least half their set as well. For big festivals look up Ultra Music Festival, Electric Daisy Carnival, Tomorrowland, TomorrowWorld, Beyond Wonderland, White Wonderland, Electric Zoo Festival, Electric Forest Festival, Nocturnal Wonderland, ADE - Amesterdam Dance Event, Nature One, Sunrise Festival, Sun Music Festival, Paradiso Festival, Escape From Wonderland, Stereosonic, Future Music Festival, Bal en Blanc, Mysteryland, Dance Valley, and Mayday. That's about all the super big festivals I think of that would feature the type of music you're looking for. Once you get into the real good stuff let me know and I can turn you on the smaller type festivals.

Can't wait til I get back in UK to play that, I can see plenty of ID's on the tracklist.

Between hearing the single and listening to them play at Coachella on the livestream right now is making me so pumped for it. (I think it's easily the album I'm most excited for this year)

Andrew Bayer also came to Toronto on Friday for the first time ever. Man it was awesome to see him live. And Ferry Cortsen is coming next week, though I might be bailing on that since the people I live with are throwing one last party before they leave for the summer that night T.T

Opener played a bunch of anjuna-ish stuff (include air for life <3), JoC worked from 132 up to 138 mixing in some classics and loads of bass and then Askew just took it to 140+ and tore it up.

Sounds like a proper trance set. So rare these days and I love the agnelli & nelson remix of Big Sky and Blue Fear.

The promoters here at one of the clubs are doing a really good job of setting up proper trance nights instead of just bringing on a big name trance dj for a couple hours at the end of the night. Unfortunately the club that does that has way more money T_T But in the coming months I've got: Blake Jarrel + Andrew Bayer Coldharbour night: Dave Neven + Mr. Pit + Beat Service, Genix + Sunny Lax Standerwick + Aly & Fila extended set. I don't even mind having to get to the club super early because I know I'm in for 4-5 hours of awesome music instead of fucking around at the bar for 3 hours waiting for a dj. Throwback <3

Kyau & Albert - 5/1/15 Darius - 5/8 Adam K - 5/9 Steve Lawler 5/14 Paul van Dyk - 5/21 Jody Wisternoff & Martin Roth 5/23 Cosmic Gate & Ilan Bluestone - 5/24 Ferry Corsten - 5/28 - I know Oliver Smith, Genix & Sunny Lax - 6/7 Sasha - 6/13 John Digweed - 6/18 Markus Schulz - 6/25 Gabriel & Dresden - 6/27 Jeremy Olander - 7/18 Not mention Markus Schulz will be in Dallas 6/26, Nicole Moudaber in Dallas on 5/23, Danny Tenaglia in Dallas on 5/16.

Markus just got scheduled here on the same fucking night as Aly & Fila. Why do the promoters do this to me?? I think i'm gonna have to go with 5 hours of standerwick + a&f over 2 hours of markus at a shittier venue and hope that markus comes by after his set to trance out <3

Aly & Fila, though I don't follow them that much anymore, are guaranteed to play a 135+ bpm set. As for G&D it's part of their classics tour, and there isn't much out there that I'd miss this tour on the trance side. I'd wait though and see what pops up for July 4th, as there is always decent shows in the bigger cities especially since the fourth falls on a Saturday.

I personally prefer Markus over A&F, though having to choose between the two is a #firstworldtranceproblem
