Kalmah is a fininish melodic death metal band: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9L4rHQu3npQ Swashbuckle is an American joke/pirate metal band that released a pretty epic album "Crime always pays": If you liked Swashbuckle, but more into folk style approach I suggest another awesome band Alestorm. ![]() Cheers.

But serously... This song combines two of some of my favourite bands to create something just...awesome. This band is a little aussie prog metal/hard rock gem. IMO they could make it BIG if they keep on going in the direction they're going with their music. Easily one of my top 3 favourite bands.

Really the only band with guttural vocals I like is Isis, and I had to listen to it a lot before it didn't bug me. For reference, I already love Metallica and Tool. If you like Metallica you'll probably like Testament and Megadeth. EDIT: And maybe Exodus if you don't mind controversial lyrics.

Cobalt - two piece band. One of the blokes is currently stationed in Iraq. The album art and song titles are Ernest Hemingway. Really impressed by this band. Probably some of the most original metal in a long time and awesome riffage. Spheres of Madness. Nothing more needs to be said. This is like my Smoke on the Water of metal. Also needs no explanation. Classic headbanging track (just noticed how hot the girl in the vid is :o) Cannabis Corpse. Craps on the band they cover Old school Finnish band who should have been popular (sometimes reminds me of Celtic Frost's last album) And Death done better ![]()

I would have called them a blues band more than anything else. But yes, they do rock ![]() But if we can include "borderline" I'm going to have to include Rainbow ![]()

Hilarious and extremely awesome at the same time. The video clip is so bad I made sure I didn't link it. (help im trapped in a garbage bag!) Better include some of the small amounts of thrash metal I enjoy: And one more Cobalt for good measure
