I think I bought Somewhere Far Beyond like 5-6 years ago after listening to Horror Show and wanting to listen to some more power metal (somewhat randomly actually, knew jack shit about power metal bands back then but the song title had hobbits and shit) and loved it but never actually listened to anything else of theirs. It was great because later I realized all the songs on it (other than the obvious Tolkien ones) were shit I've read. However I haven't ever listened to any of their other stuff weirdly enough. What's another good album of theirs? I like buying my CDs so I don't wanna get something that happened to be the unliked bastard child. Here's some of my favourites. Can't ever have enough Megadeth. Seeing this entire album live was fuckwin. Slayer too, personally I like this album is better than Reign in Blood, though some songs would be better faster: This is classic immortal, fuck that playing in the snow shit. Mephistopheles, never seen anyone else talk about them (though none of my friends listen to metal), earlier stuff was more symphonic, last album was meh, but Modern Instinct's Purity IMO, has some great shit, probably best track off the album: Seen some Bathory here, but nothing from before he went clean vocals, though this is right before he did. Saw Helloween earlier in the thread but it wasn't from the fucking epic Keeper of the Seven Keys, here's one with an actual music video: Anyone listen to yyrkoon project? Pretty good and haven't seen them mentioned. More classic black metal, when static used to be part of the equation: Back when Dimmu Borgir was worth listening to, not really into the new clean vocals and shit. Also they didn't seem so cheesy back then, but maybe that's my youth. For the life of me I can't find my stormblast CD :Here's a band called Vornagar I found a few years back, you could get their entire album free on their site but it's been a few years so who knows: Let's end with some Death, horry shit did not know there was a music video:

Their new album is good, it just came out a few weeks ago it's called "At the Edge of Time". I posted a couple songs from there on this thread a couple pages back I think. Good shit on the Megadeth, I don't think there was much if any on here which surprised me. And a random video because I know how some people get annoyed when they think there's new videos but it's just a few new chat messages.

I dont think its fair to put suicide silence in the same boat they are actually good. Lately ive been really down for Within the Ruins and After the burial. They have a more technical sound and it is really good. If you want some crazy vocals look up See You Next Tuesday and listen to any of their songs I really despise people who choose to bundle bands like BMTH with the "emo"-scene. Emo has, and never will have, anything to do with bands like BMTH. Also; BMTH's latest was actually quite enjoyable, they've made it past the "Didn't I just hear this song?"-scale and are now, after six years, on the "quite tolerable"-scale.

I find it so hilarious your name is KvltMan and you're from Sweden. That's the most metal shit ever.

Nydvind has more to do with nature, winter and nordic mythology. The atmosphere is a lot colder and 'gloomier'. Unfortunately the best songs from their first album aren't online. Both bands are led by Richard Loudin, whom is totally awesome.

.Some of my favorites: Counterparts, great melodic hardcore/metalcore After The Burial, saw these guys live a few weeks ago and they absolutely DESTROYED. If you have a chance to see them live definitely go!

Also, this happened: Gets props for both having one of the best band names ever and for the guy in the youtube thread who posted this gem: "I listen to this in 240p because I'm too kvlt for 360p." I lol'd hardcore.
