I was fortunate enough to catch these guys on their very last tour before hanging it up for good. It's a cold fucking world when musicians like this have to hang it up because they can't make a living on it while Five Finger Death Punch goes on to make another album.
So they quit? That's too bad, I really loved their songs, especially 'we watched the silver rain' is sooooo good. I guess that's just how the music business works : /
James Labrie's new album is out, i dl'd it 2 days ago, bought the limited edition yesterday and have listened to it 6 times . I really like it, nothing like what he has done before, was really surprised (pleasantly) because his recent DT stuff is crap, and so was mullmuzzler etc.

Born of Osiris: songs off of older album, new album "a higher place" is amazing and they have another new album to debut in early 2011 Now Arise Open arms to damnation
The Arusha Accord: Amazing band with a very abstract playstyle vaguely similar to the architects, but IMO they have more skill and a better definitive sound Dead to me Kerreng The Resurgent
Veil of Maya: technical metal progression with a unique style of "get off your seat and bleed" style movement metal. A lot of these songs have memorable riffs that will stick with you for awhile to come. Its not safe to swim today Unbreakable
Parkway Drive: An ever-growing band of high popularity in the metal scene. Though the band retains a somewhat generic form of play, most songs are memorable and the breakdowns Parkway present are window shatteringly good. Boneyards Smoke'em if ya got'em
WhiteChapel: My first intense delve into the world of death metal, mainly because I've never heard it played out so well before. Breakdowns = Sick. Lyrics = Sick. Riffs = Sick and last but not least this whole band = Sick. The Darkest Day of Man Unnerving
August Burns Red: Technical, Fast, Catchy, Brutal, Melodic. There really isn't much to not like about this band, however their lack of albums hits them with negativity, another release could easily put them on top in terms of popularity. Composure Mariannas Trench
----------------------------------------------------------- Other Bands worth mentioning: Suicide Silence Bring me the Horizon The Architects Converge Ion Dissonance Emmure Vegas In Ruins etc
Bring me the horizon just became the biggest metal in australia...
Suicide silence is governing death metal to be open to more than just hxc death heads
Im used to musically closed mindex people like you and am going to check out the band youre showing me because im not closed to any genre or ignorant towards anyone not like me.
