Opeth sucks because they aren't good prog. They are half baked prog mixed with half assed black metal and they don't go anywhere in either direction. Their first two albums are their best because they do some interesting acoustic prog stuff, and that's about it. This is someone who has listened to 100s of hours of Opeth, so whatever, take it as you will. Is Vektor in this thread? If not, have some Vektor. | ||

From what I've skimmed, it's fairly generic, in quite a few cases the subgenre classification is incorrect and some of the song examples are rather... odd picks.
