Does anyone have some recommendations of newer thrash metal bands like flayed disciple for example? I'll also accept death/thrash hybrids. The reason I ask for newer ones is because I've already heard of most old bands like Slayer, Kreator, etc so I want new ones! | ||

I'm sure there's some stuff in there you haven't heard. ^^ As for more modern bands, Havok, Toxic Holocaust, Municipal Waste. I guess Vektor could be considered tech thrash so them too, and Deathchain had a few good albums. I'd also recommend a little-known band from Germany called Pessimist, their stuff is pretty good. | ||

 I've discovered this band which is more death/trash than pure trash, it's Ouroboros, and this is awesome ! I guess you already know it but Coroner is the shit in trash :p | ||

Great band, their 5 fantastic albums are only marred by somewhat shoddy production. But otherwise full of creative moments and sick riffs. | ||

But otherwise full of creative moments and sick riffs. The not-perfectly-clean-production just adds to the charm of Coroner, at least imo. They really were one of the best thrash bands ever, it's a shame they never got the attention they deserve. I assume it's because the vocals and lyrical content lean a little too far on the extreme side for mainstream metal, particularly back when they were together, but it just sucks. I know I've posted this song probably 10 times by now in this thread but the riffffs and dat solo :D | ||

Also, the new Black Dahlia is nowhere near as bad as I thought it was going to be after hearing their first single. There seems to be a much larger focus on heavier riffs than previously, and the solos rip. It's definitely a bit different than their past records but I'm liking it after getting used to it. The bonus track is pretty killer too. | ||
