There's a looot of good J-Rock, and many different flavors as well.

Really popular bands include L'arc en Ciel, Asian Kung-fu Generation, Flow, UVERworld, ikimonogakari, One Ok Rock, The Pillows.

Then you have like sakanaction, rin to shite shigure, school food punishment/la la larks, negoto, Base Ball Bear, Straightener, Toe, stereopony, Greeeen, porno graffiti.

Obviously there's many more but I can't really think of 'em off the top of my head atm. You should scroll through this thread to see if there's anything you might like.

i heard a lot of songs from flow and a liked all of it from naruto (anime is really just the place i know to find J-songs .. i have no idea how to find a one without it .. pardon me) .. i didnt know flow was still famous ..
