This is a four piece pop/rock/indie? band with a female vocalist. She sings in a very distinct tone which I personally enjoy (kind of similar in tone to Judy and Mary's vocalist).
and here's a live acoustic rendition of their song めまい
She's my favorite anime voice actor and also sang great songs that were used in a huge amount of shows.
Successful Mission (off of the Iravati album, also used as Saber Marionette J opening theme) - I even heard this one on a Japanese cooking show (DOTCH!) and also a tiny bit on a Korean show but didn't know what it was.
Touch and Go (off of Enfleurage album, also used as Blue Seed opening theme)
I'll Be There (off of Iravati album, also used as Saber Marionette J ending theme) live perf.

Probably has to do with the fact that the two countries have hated each other for a long time now. Other than that I don't really see why there's such a large hatred between the fangirls. Probably any competition between US/UK bands wouldn't be as vile. Of course not, so why here.
I actually haven't listened to much J-Pop. But I'm really open to it, I really like kpop anway. Seems to me that J-pop is actually melodically, more western than K-pop. As I could be mistaken, someone correct me on that if I'm wrong. So yeah, I don't think I've even listened to enough music to make an informed opinion there.
For any of you big j-pop fans out there, can you recommend me any really good songs? Also, J-Rock as well? Is there such a think as J-hop? J-rap? I dunno. It seems plausible. Good to see that there's a J-pop thread, though I thought it would've been more popular. Guys probably prefer k-pop anyway, well, because we're on a SC site after all. You have to think though, if Japan was the #1 SC country, would be be listening to j-pop instead?
Think about the all the shit Japanese people did to Koreans and Chinese people back in the day. That'll answer the hate about Korean / Japan fans if there is any.
J-Rock is actually quite easy to find compared to K-Rock. I think an casual fan can name like 5 JRock groups vs... what at best three K rock groups? The well known rock groups are really good too I think, just look up Siam Shade for example. Their songs don't disappoint at all.
Plus this thread isn't as popular since I made sure to exclude any strictly anime related songs on here unless they've been promoted outside the anime. For example, Grip! by Every Little Thing was featured on Inuyasha, but they also promoted it on various music shows as well.
