I'm not talking about the laning stage, more like their overall performances.

PPD takes his time to figure out or just counterpick Secret's drafts and it ends up being 3-1 for EG with 4 outdrafts and 1 classic EG throw.
Or PPD does not figure it out and ends up getting stomped himself (3-1 as well because Secret are prone to throwing sometimes).
Either way, i expect stompy series with at least 1 techies last ban and moar drafting fun. yeah i also said the same (can't find my post) there's no way this is gonna be competitive .. it's gonna a 3-1 or 3-0 stomp either side for sure i don't remember any pudge player either team either team Think Fear played it once.

Finally a year when top 8 ti is likely to contain more western teams than Chinese. C9 empire secret eg, VP maybe. I think navi has an outside chance too.

He used to be my most disliked player, but he really, really has. You can even see it when he's just casually pubbing. Dude is seriously good.

Arteezy is a better carry than Burning. His anti-mage farming paths are just the best in the world.

you can compare s4 and suma1l though but if you wanna compare them like for storyline or some shit then sure

I mean, Burning was made a great carry not because of his farming pattern being just optimal but because of it being safe as fuck as well. Arteezy however just farms everything he can with everything he has to use to do so.

arteezy has just a bad impression like that people think he has the usual NA BM attitude .. but mostly when he flames someone it's more of for fluff and he's humoring .. he's pretty chill most of the time .. in terms of being a good player dude he's extremely good and he's obviously one of the reason EG was really successful last year good thing EG replaced him with someone who also can do shit with farm unlike carries like BSJ
you'd find dendi flaming more that is actually flaming where he's mad

burning is not really that extremely efficient .. did you know he doesn't thread switch with AM ? yet everybody knows he's very good
rtz just tries to as efficient as possible when farming

Why wouldn't they be comparable? They both play cores and have quite a few overlapping heroes like Lesh and SF for instance. I find it very easy to compare their performances in a game.

When Arteezy first joined EG you could tell he was something else. He was a remarkable talent, young and brash, but if he was on his game he was easily a step above everyone in the world. He was something special.
Unfortunately there were the internal issues in EG and he very obviously lost his passion. Even right after joining Secret he wasn't his old self. But now it's pretty obvious he got his spark back. He's confident, he's knocked the malaise off and he's looking like the old Arteezy again. He's back to being the single most dominant player there is and he's quite terrifying.

Yeah I think that's the most significant change this year. The West was always competitive with their top teams, but this seems to be the first year where they outclass China in terms of depth. If they up their game, iG and LGD both have the potential to make it far, but they might just as well lose to the second guard of EU teams. And while VG remains a complete mess, China doesn't even have one team they can bank on to be a serious title challenger.
