I can't really kill it before it hits me, and it's just a ton of reliable damage. Maybe I should be trying to kill him when the CD is off? It's really annoying; I miss CS at the same time as taking a good chunk of damage. I just played a game where my midas was like 9 mins because I missed so much CS and had to buy a second stack of tangoes; Do i just have to deal with this, or is there something I can do to fight this? Homing Missile damage increases the longer it flies. If you know that you can't kill it before it hits you, there's no point wasting time running away.

Invoker. I know it's easier for invoker because he can triple quas to get some decent regen; but it was still annoying as hell and I still needed a second set of tangoes.

you need to disable him while you take on the rest of the team. make it a 4v5 and deal with him when everyone else is dead or out of mana so that you can deal with him easier. should he get away, you've still dealt with the other 4 players on his team and you can take objectives since he can't single-handedly stop your team.

yeah, i would imagine you would have to go quas wex with a bottle. was he trying to control runes?

How do I play out Storm Spirit vs Death Prophet as Storm? I'm having problems with this matchup, basically losing everything from ganks to cs, mostly due to her Q I think. Best I've been able to do is dodge Q half the time and go for lasthits fairly passively, as whenever I do something aggressive I can't seem to kill her, while she can kill me fairly easily if I fight for too long without pulling back.

storm spirit is heavily reliant on runes. Use remnant to get last hits, hit her with static, and go for runes. Storm is somewhat of a weak laner and has to catch up with ganks. Bottle crow can be useful.

starting with null/tango will make it easier for u to get cs/denies and outplay enemy. bottle rush is kinda nice but i wudnt prefer it in this lane.
ok for csing what u do is: 1- make one creep get low hp (that ur creeps arent hitting) ~140 hp 2- when the creep ur creeps are hitting gets to last hit range (with overload dmg) do: 3- put a remnant down at ur own location ,last hit the creep. 4- right click on DP to force creep aggro 5- the creep from part (1) will walk into ur remnant now u get 2 ez free lasthits?
u have to constantly bottle crow. going for runes means ull sacrifice 1-2 creeps. coz dp pushes harder
time ur bottlecrow so that u have full hp/mana and bottlecharges as soon as u get 6
u can probably straight up kill her at lvl 6 do lots of small jumps and bottle up in between hits
i like max remnant/overload builds, but they are not for everybody.... needs more practice in hitting ur remnant without having vortex.

Spaylz: There are several reasons for QoP not being used in 1vX where X is greater than one. - Rotations is key If there is lockdown on the lane and there is a rotation adding damage or more lockdown, you're done for... Which leads me to my next point; - Her base HP She just can't take any damage early unless it's traded equally versus a single lane opponent - in a 1v2, 1v3 or against a pseudo-tri she will get zoned massively (especially as Dire) - Reliance on levels and basic farm She needs several minor items to work. You can't engage with an underleveled QoP in a fight where a lot of people have level 6 and you don't - Blink has long CD and you have no amazing burst yet
HoN has way more greedy pseudo-tri's and duallanes. Coupled with the fact that DotA has a lot of other offlaners makes QoP lackluster as a solo in this meta.
DinoMight: Ignore him, CC him or out-sustain him. Itemise properly and don't let a Bristle get out of control.

I think they were talking specifically about offlane QoP being a thing in HoN but not in DotA.

Hey guys what are the current in house leagues for a solo player to play on? Is there any atm ? that are good and fun ?

ChunderBoy - Dagger has always had limited use due to uphill being so narrow in mid (less secure AAs after dagger connects). If you're Radiant it's way easier to maintain lane control since you should have it at level 1 (easier blocks) but if someone pushes the equilibrium you lose that advantage. All you want is to gather levels and collect every rune for roam potential, sustain and the cheer fact of denying your opponent the runes. The recent buff to her Q is interesting but it's still limited in use in lane.

is there any thread like "looking for support/carry" for teams here on DL? ty

I was Witch Doctor and I saw him just take almost my whole Dubstep to the face without dying. Generally speaking, at that stage you wanna deal with him last. If you have good slows/stuns, probably slows in particular, you probably wanna dump something on him while you kill off his teammates. His right clicks arent that great (supposing he didnt build for it, but most dont and build tank with heart/shiva etc). Once hes alone left he'll be taking all your attention and generally some slow/stun comes off CD and you can kite him out while you kill him.
At lvl 25 he really shouldnt be that big of a threat unless hes very ahead in items, which can make any hero a high threat. His prime is really a bit earlier in the game when both his ulti-boosted rightclicks as well as his quill spam are very hard to deal with. At 25 it shouldnt be as bad. If he was generally just way ahead of you in items, that was likely your problem, not the hero itself.

For heroes like BB that you don't want to focus but you can't have running around, I love getting Euls on supports. It saves you burning precious lockdown on him but gets him out of your face, and is really cheap. Get him out of the fight as painlessly as possible, get rid of the rest of his team, then deal with him.
Of course he can BKB, but it still has charges and he usually wants to be doing his thing for much longer than 4-10s anyway.

Timbersaw against bloodseeker in lane: solo offlane as timber, against solo safe blood.
Are you expected to win this lane? If so, how? Him using bloodrage on me is just a massive annoyance. On dotabuff timber's worst matchup is against bloodseeker, but I'm not willing to believe one of the most powerful heroes in the game should kowtow and give up lane against a solo blood.

bloodseeker is simply the better laner, not much you can do here

think about where the strengths of timber are and how bloodseeker takes them all way with his spells. silence alone makes timber very sad.
