i. I am usually able to finish my radiance from 15-18min (with bottle, boots, quelling) if I'm playing on the radiant side on a pub (which means no stacks or helps with gank, just a bit of bottlecrow and lucky runes + wards on runes). That said, I have trouble playing naga on the dire side, since I can't go jungle with the illusions that easily and its easier to get ganked. What should I try to do on the early game to secure my farm on dire? ii. Should I get other items before going for radiance? I always go bottle and boots, and straight to sacred relic, but I've seen drums and aquila getting picked up before. When should I go for those items? iii. Should I admit defeat and build another item if I die 3 times, for example, and can't get a sacred before 18min? if so, what items? iv. When I'm 6slotted, i generally have travels, radiance, manta, diffusal 2, linkens and daedalus (saw it from Black). Are those items the best or way too situational? What items should I have when I'm 6slotted (gold is not a problem)? v. If I'm playing with a friend that wants to support me to assure I get a really early radiance and then proceed to farm a lot and carry the game (4.2k me, we generally get into ~3.6k average mmr when playing together), what hero should he try to pick? someone to stack? someone to babysit me on mid? anything at all? Thanks in advance to all feedback!!

Dont spam decay to much until your combo is up with a full manapool to execute it. I used to build manaboots and even TQ boots too, but they feel like wrong choices after i read a post in undyings thread. Phaseboots allow you to move through the zombies and manaboots doesnt do that. Phaseboots multiplies undyings killingpotential/gameimpact from the early until the endgame in such a way, that i just dont see why i would ever build mana/TQboots on this hero ever again. Solve his and your teams issues in another way. Give undying less mana intensive items like an urn, bladmail and get a mek carrier like razor or viper mid maybe. Atleast you deal with it! ![]() E :I've heard merlini talk about soulbooster like its really undervalued, for undying a naked soulbooster could be worth while, atleast ALOT better then a vangaurd.

Thanks in advance to all feedback!! 1. I just played naga dire mid yesterday against a zeus with a bunch of supports ganking me alot since my team was losing all lanes, with the illusion nerf its pretty difficult to jungle even when uncontested. there is really no way of securing additional farm without asking for help from teammates or building some smaller items 2/3. it all depends on what is happening in the game. i banked 2.7k gold in 10mins with boots+bottle but decided to go for smaller items such as drums and aqualia because the game was falling apart completely and if i don't participate even if i get a 16min radiance i would lose the game. i avoided death by ganks by saccing illusions to scout everywhere when i see people are missing from the map. 4. I would swap linkens for butterfly and radiance/crit for mkb/abyssal/heart depending on what is happening if i was 6 sloted and no longer need farm 5. shadow demon syergizes well with naga, you can save/setup ganks with disruption (illusions created are also pretty strong late game), stack multiple camps with poison, purge bkb heroes while naga beats the supports down.

You always land hits during omnislash, at least when you are not switching targets and as long as omnislash does not end before your attack cycle.

I just came back to the game thinking that taking advantage of the new facility and picking an EUW server like I'm familiar with in LoL would go some way to alleviating the problem. Alas, we had two carries in the top lane, two supports in the bottom lane, and another support playing mid. This is profoundly disappointing to me as I love DotA when the game is played properly. It's my favourite competitive game of all time when it's played properly. But games in public servers seem to be completely devoid of meaning. My question is: How do you find players willing to take the game seriously? Who don't selfishly pick carry even when there's four other carries on team.

![]() If you're a better player than who you're playing with and everyone at your skill level is picking poorly, then that'll apply to the enemy picks too and you can just win. And you'll get out of that skill range and into a higher skill range where you belong. I mean i don't ever run into what you're talking about if i'm playing ranked so i don't have to deal with it to begin with. Maybe 1 out of a hundred games, lol. Sure i'll encounter players having a bad day or players that refuse to cooperate, but i encountered the exact same thing in LoL tbh To me the communities were equally bad. While LoL wouldn't have people picking stuff the team doesn't need as often, it was also completely impossible to play LoL trying to do anything that wasn't the standard, from my own experiences which is one of the reasons i stopped playing it entirely unless a friend drags me into it.

Or you can find a inhouse community like tlih/ixdl/etc and stop playing pubs.

In LoL, you don't even need to get to level 30 before there's a firmly established meta-game with people calling their role in advance. I have no intention of messing around for months to "make my bones" in meaningless troll pick games before I can reliably get players who actually realize it's a team game -- it's not just about playing for a high score.

Also, a winstreak wont get you out of what you call a 'troll pick problem' if your account isn't new since the smurf detection wont throw you into high tier games. And even in high tier games you're going to get people picking whatever they want, because they're playing for fun. Even in ranked you'll encounter people not picking the way you want them to. Which is why, either play captains mode, find a group of people to play with or play in an inhouse league.

Just @ your "two supports in the bottom lane, and another support playing mid"

But the most common problem I have is with nobody picking support and everyone playing carry because they all want their high score.

But that game is far from lost at that point. AP pubs are a completely different ball-game than captain's mode which is the primarily used competitive dota mode. You need to be flexible and you need to realize as a support what lane you should support and what lane you should ditch, if you're babysitting a bad carry player you should consider trying to help another lane instead like maybe setting up a kill for mid and trying to create space like that. If you try to apply the logic and ways the professional players play in AP pubs then you're going to have a bad time.
