Appreciate the previous help I have been given and also the help in the future. Thanks You forgot about getting DP in picking phase. Anyway. Even if i don't agree with getting DP in first phase, it doesn't matter. Your lineup has just ridiculous amount of greed, AA, agressive trilane and stuff just punish it hard. Basically, your only chance to win was to abandon agressive trilane, where wolf will be just fucked by decay spam and double range chilling touch. Thing is that you have to move Batrider from jungle as well to protect his farm but it means that you just sacrifice early Roshan with Dire team being able to setup vision and being stronger in general in early game. That's why i don't agree on drafting both DP (especially in first phase, you just scream that you want to push), not banning Ancient Apparition, who is main counter to pushing lineups since forever and getting Batrider. Batrider is bad in general against those offensive trilanes because he can't help team even if he wins 1v1 and his trilane is fucked. Best example of it is Dreamhack Summer 2013 final, when Socks was smashing Bulldog with Batrider in farm but Alliance trilane just destroyed Quantic's offensive trilane and game ended with 22 or 23-0 with Socks not being able to utilize his 7 or 8th minute dagger/tranquils. I dunno as well why did you ban Bane and picked Rubick when Rubick is considered is one of the best supports to counter him, if you banned AA and got Dazzle instead of Lich, i can definitely see logic, either way, it's just mistake in general. I can see what did you want to achieve, but Krobelus can't push without general items like early phase boots/drums/vitality booster, or skipping drums at all and getting bloodstone, she's just too squish and you don't have enough support for her because all your cc is Bat's lasso and that's it, other are just slows from Lich and telekinesis which are minor, when you have raging Axe with team with chilling touch and tombstone against. Also you could get Pugna instead of DP and not banning it, it could work way better because Pugna can push always and not only once in 2 minutes against AA. Pugna's ban seem weird as well but it doesn't really matter because you have already lost in drafting. Putting Lycan mid in this game isn't good choice just because how will you setup? Lich-Rubick duo safelane against trilane will get dived on level 2 by AA-Weaver and Undying with tombstone, DP offlane will be ok against cat/Axe but won't be able to do a lot and Batrider just has to farm somewhere. DP-Rubick safelane will be dived as well, Lich will destroy Potm/Axe but it won't help team either + Lycan can't win games alone, even if he wins lane against PotM with bottle crowing. Axe, AA, Undying vs Lycan, Rubik, Lich (was trilane vs trilane at botttom lane) Weaver vs batrider top lane DP vs Mirana mid Lycan, Lich and Rubick will be destroyed, Axe and Undying can just proxy with chilling touch coverage and you're not able to get even AA because diving under tombstone is unreal. DP will be ok against Mirana, even tho PotM has an edge here imo on first levels especially and if PotM finds nice rune, this trilane will be destroyed completely as well as tower. Weaver and Batrider is just farm fest, nothing interesting. Weaver gets sticks, spams shukuchi, Batrider spams napalms, farms. But anyway. When you draft trilanes, think about 2 things. First, your trilane has to be playable. Not something like let's say, Ogre-Treant-Axe against Luna-Visage-AA. Second, your trilane has to get something, not like some teams draft Wisp in TMMs , then go with Wisp into trilane, do nothing, get nothing. What can do Lycan, Lich and Rubick, especially if you get sacrifice on Lich first? Undying spams decay, Axe shoves, AA covers it, then they hit level 2 first because Lycan can't touch creeps, tombstone, towerdive, 3v0, tower is dead, that's it. You have no stuns/hard cc except for telekinesis, you have no escapes, you have no sustain because of decays. Thanks for reply, quickly as well. Please consider that Lycan is the only hero here that we want in the draft. All the other 4 heroes as well as bans we can change. Does that change anything?

Ofc it does. If you got better supports for him, like Dazzle/Treant or Dazzle/Visage (it's just examples), other lanes might be ok with it, you can at least be tied on trilane with harassing AA/Undying and if you survive 3-4 levels, then you can just fight back, in same time Batrider will get his dagger around 10 minute mark, DP will get phase/drums and you can just rotate as five and push, get Roshan after it and snowball from that point.
Lycan isn't bad hero in trilane, don't get me wrong. He was just in wrong place that game.
Supports are really key, sololaners don't really require synergy if they have valuable skills, that's enough but supports have to work in pair and have cc.

maybe you, could try something like banphase: bat and aa pick 1. lycan, (they pick) pick 2. puck
with a gameplan of lycan applying pressure else where, while a strong 4 man (team fight) applies pressure. (plus u can run the puck as an offlane vs an agro tri. (so it doesnt give away ur mid, which i guess if u want u can take the dp later in the draft)
as for supports, well u have some nice physical damage with dp and lycan so far ( a vs, dazzle, tide are nice supports with minus armor, plus dazzle gives alot of sustainability when pushing) makes ur trilane not as weak as well, that wolf heal lol is pretty scary. (alche can also support with minus armor, but idk seems too weak for the trilane, but i might be wrong.) i really only like the tide pick in this case if u pick it later and u can see that they dont have a lot of natural bkb carries. As for dodging the trilane, i think it depends on what they have and how much u can get out of it, how well u play 3v3 trilanes.
I really dont like giving away bat or/and axe vs a lycan, (and out of the two i think just taking out the bat is better)

If I am first pick. And I want Lycan. I should ban AA? Dazzle or SD would be good supports for this? Could an enchantress work as jungle support?

Melee supports in general are bad against offensive trilanes vs Undying/AA. I highly recommend to ban AA everytime when you're not going to pick it, it just makes life way easier.
Tidehunter is already rising hard in pubs with ancient stacking/getting 0 damage with kraken shell, so i expect him to rise as 4th position jungle right now in 6.81 but not in trilanes, he's just simply bad there because you need a lot of experience for Tidehunter and trilanes don't provide this luxury usually.
And about Axe against Lycan, well, i guess they could run Treant/Magnus as well, not only Axe, because under coverage of tombstone in this comp, it's just heavy frontline for Weaver and PotM, not like - "I'm Axe and i will aggro you, so you don't touch my teammates".
On May 03 2014 10:53 llIH wrote: If I am first pick. And I want Lycan. I should ban AA? Dazzle or SD would be good supports for this? Could an enchantress work as jungle support?
As i have already said - if you don't want problems and you don't need AA in your lineup, ban it, or get it in first phase, AA is almost never bad. For Lycan in this game? SD is bad, because Undying/Axe will just roll over you. Dazzle is good.
Jungle supports are bad against offensive trilanes because when you come on offense trilane/offense duolane, you always ward forest first to prevent such stuff and if trilane kill someone on safelane, it's not hard for them to rotate into forest/call for midlane to roam, especially when it's midlane PotM with arrow. Also, you have to get some sort of rng for Chen/Enchantress to get legit creeps and not wildkins for 6 minutes.

i think u might lack too much lock down if u take enchant. I like the aa ban if ur plan is pushing orientated.

Alchemist is shit support as well, we with friend just abuse Undying-Dazzle duo offlane against trilanes and Alchemist is extremely weak when behind, saw one yesterday with 3 smokes start, he got nothing on us and we just slapped him and his mates with 8-1 combined score, chicken and tower. Highly recommend this duo if you really want to grind points or something.
His only good point is his burst and roaming potential, but if you're getting steamrolled in lane or just slighly down in xp - game over, because Alchemist is probably most greedy support right now if we're not speaking about junglers and Rhasta/SK.
VS is weird right now, hadn't played her in 6.81 yet but she was my favourite back in the days and she's not tier-1 right now sadly. You need tons of experience with her, it's not what can be used always.
And haha. If they got rolled with Lich and Rubick who are ranged, i'm scared to imagine how could Undying and Axe laugh if there was Alchemist with 7 damage acid spray level 1.
Okay, g'night guys, it's 6 am here :D Time to sleep a bit.

Vici gaming drafted SD as 2nd pick, when they already got Lycan as first pick. Enemy picked Batrider and Dazzle. Vici banned AA and Centaur, enemy banned Ember and Invoker.
I am just thinking here. That's why I am asking you guys. Wouldn't SD be good against an Axe aggressive trilane since he can disrupt axe to make spin in my favor? (Enemy did not pick axe that game by the way, he was banned in 2nd ban phase by VICI) VICI gaming also drafted Enchantress as their next pick after already picking Lycan (1) and Shadow Demon (2).
I never meant Tidehunter as a support in lane. I meant him as an offlaner. (But I don't think that much about the offlaner here)
I am more about getting the lane correctly for Lycan.
NB: I never considered Alchemist as a support here. I think you might be thinking of someone else's comment. Is there any good pick vs Undying+Axe aggressive lane? Given that Lycan was picked first!

Dazzle, Visage, Treant, Bane, Abaddon, even THD. That's at least 6, who're better in protecting than what you drafted. And Vici Gaming wasn't thinking about Lycan when they drafted SD, SD is one of the easiest counters to Batrider in the game just.
Fuck it, time to sleep finally.

i mentioned the alche (purely just for listing off supports with minus armor) i really like timber vs undying and axe. (could just throw him there to soak up exp, and dodge the 3v3.

There was a morphing in the WPC games yesterday. I think it was game 1 DK vs IG, but it could have been game 2.

in the past week:
silent played morph vs rox.kis burning played morph vs newbee luo played morph vs dk hao played morph vs vg (and played vs dt 2 weeks ago) zsmj played morph vs dk
Idk who is best. They all lost their games.

Morph never was highly popular on West, it's more of Eastern hero. But Loda has sick Morph, EE isn't bad either i assume, Era from Fnatic is a beast but they run Morph with Wisp mid usually.
On the East - Hao hands down after Zhou's retirement.

Ello, just a quick question: if pudges hooks you and ulties u in mid air, how likely are you to dodge the ulti by jumping, forcing etc. and which hero is the best/good at it?
