Beyond that, mjollnir seems to be the item of choice for tanky front-line heroes who just run into fights these days simply due to how busted the active is. Also basher/abyssal for obvious reasons and BKB because BKB. I've seen bfury in a pro match recently, not sure it's needed since alch rices fine without it. Midas seems like a waste as well but I suppose you can get it. Shadowblade sucks.

Armlet is largely for a strong 1-2 item fighting/solo pressure timing. In a long, farmy game it's weaker in that slot than a bigger item (which is especially important for Alch given his low base stats and how quickly he becomes 6-slotted). It's very strong but you have to be aware that it's not an item you want to just farm with.

Dunno, shadowblade's just so ass on alch imo. Yeah armlet isn't really a farming item but Alch is reallly really retardedly squishy without HP + Armor items and armlet is a great one of both of those while also working quite well with his ult.

If ur dying to ganks armlet is actually pretty good at keeping u alive but realistically the solution is to farm better/safer. SB sucks defensively since detection is easier offensively than defensively. If ur argument is "my opponents suck too bad to carry dust" then how do u need an SB to beat them ![]()

Dunno, shadowblade's just so ass on alch imo. Yeah armlet isn't really a farming item but Alch is reallly really retardedly squishy without HP + Armor items and armlet is a great one of both of those while also working quite well with his ult. 60% winrate alch, 150 games Given an even early game: Shadowblade > blink > armlet Shadowblade plus phase boots is just enough damage and mobility to farm two waves in a lane, and clear half the (stacked) jungle, stacking the other two camps with spray. Additionally, the solo kill potential and escape mechanism is pretty important, as you effectively secure your own free farm. Blink dagger is great if you are being forced to fight with your team instead of free farm the jungle, i.e. against Lycan or Ember. Otherwise, it's a 2k investment that only marginally helps your farm, since you already have such great ms from ult+phase. If you get it, you have to make early teamfight winning plays to be on-par with a shadowblade or maelstrom as far as game impact. Armlet is the option if you have a multi-core lineup, and you have an even harder carry for late game. Going treads+armlet makes you the strongest fighter in the game around 15-20 minutes. Pairs well with sniper. Follow up with sny+ac+basher. Turns out the being able to take nukes doesn't really help near as much as being able to clear the jungle and lanes safely

I felt like they tended to just say that about every pair of supports though, so is it just that that is how the meta breaks down at the moment? What would you call greedy vs not greedy supports? In general, greedy support is support who needs money and levels to be useful like, let's say, Sand King who needs at least his dagger and arcanes to perform. Dazzle is what you can name as non-greedy support, because he doesn't scale with items at all, arcanes or urn is enough to be ward bitch, same with guys like Disruptor. Every jungler is greedy support, Rhasta is greedy support, Jakiro isn't greedy and so on.
