So the new patch is out and I have to ask, how do you lane against a Broodmother now? I didn't have the best lane against her (PA + Dazzle), but the ability to walk over trees/cliffs felt rediculous. Harrassing her was impossible and killing her wasn't doable even with detection (thought that might have been the lane). In the end she could just farm, harass and kill us with little effort it felt like.

Was it just the lane without stuns or is there another way to stop her from being a giant pain?

The most practical follow-up to Tranq was Urn. Tranq+Urn+Wand+2-3 Clarities in a slot to top up mana after kills, save for your next item (usually Blink or Vanguard). It was more powerful ganking early than Vanguard first, but had to snowball harder because otherwise you hit this point where you have active items (e.g. Blink) but haven't swapped your Tranquils to Arcanes yet, so your mana is really strained. Pre-Blink, Urn+Wand+Clarities gets you by because you don't spend any mana when you farm.

i've tried other builds like bottle wand tranq but they honestly make the jungle so much harder than it needs to be
i'm pretty sure straight vanguard is the fastest possible farm rate short of constant bottle crow
spamming battle hunger in the jungle is nice, it helps clears ursas/centaurs and lets you stack camps from further away

I've never felt like jungle was particularly "hard" with Tranquils, so long as you make sure not to use Tranquils on hard camps. If my jungle gets screwed, it's from level 1/2 before I could have had either Boots or RoH.

Going Tranquil first sucks if your Boots gank doesn't turn into a kill, but if there isn't a high likelihood of a kill with that gank, I think it's reasonable to not go Tranquil at all. After Tranquil, it's entirely smooth sailing. If you're trying to farm a stack, it's true you'll take a big chunk of damage that Vanguard will do a lot to mitigate--but in the time it would take you to get a Vanguard, you would have Tranq+Urn+have at least a set of Urn charges which you can burn while farming that stack, since neutrals don't break Urn.

the thing about straight vanguard is that you can easily clear 3~4 camps a minute without losing any hp
edit: i mean yeah tranqs are nice for ganking the lanes but axe ganks aren't really that strong early on any way; i think a quick blink puts much more pressure on the opposing team

I don't agree with that at all, but I'd just chalk this up to us having a different understanding of the hero.

It's moot anyway since Tranqs first doesn't work anymore for obvious reasons.

edit: yeah I agree on that. I can see mid or 2v2 hard lane being more comfortable, especially with the easy camp being so much more inaccessible.

Once Axe has solved his mana issues, Tranqs actually feel like quite good combat boots on him.
When broken they are still the armor boots with good ms.

My opinion is taunted from recent success with Axe, obviously.
Arcane Boots -> RoH -> eventually Bloodstone + Dagger
After you dismantle the Arcane Boots and are kinda left with no favorable boots besides travels.
Disclaimer: You obviously can't do it every game, but it's a decent build to get more ahead when you're ahead. You can almost never complete a bloodstone in good time if you're behind and it's not even a good item if you're behind.

I think tranqils should be bought now mainly for the armor. I can imagine Bloodseeker with tranqils would work, since they give good base movement speed for his racecarness and the 4 armor are better against physical damage than the 8 str from treads if you have more than 650 hp.

Bloodseeker was already better with Phase than Treads.

If you ask me Bloodseeker hasn't been good since forever, because bad pubs are still slightly relevant to balance.
But that's besides the point.

The new tranqils are kinda fascinating though. The last boots which gave armor that didn't vanish on hit were the old phase boots, which proudly wore the label "broken as hell".
I wonder how and when they are good now.

How to keep mana up on invoker? I'm starting with the hero but I'm often having troubles to have mana as I usually don't really have to go to base often thanks to quas. I like the casual void which can be upgrade into eul or hex. I just use the 4 spells of quas exort and shadowalk but no other spells, as recommended in TL's guide but I still lack of a lot of mana.

Invoker is a guy with heavy mana spells for sure, especially if going quas wex. You will find yourself having to return to fountain for mana rather than health, but thats ok sometimes. Try to limit your spell usage for ganks and teamfights only (harassing with cold snap is ok early on, just remember to always have enough mana left for a spell combo), and aim for a euls scepter as fast as you can as it will solve most of your mana issues (I usually get it after drums and force staff).

A very simple question, considering DF-TF game, do pros have no idea how to play the new version? Or Icefraud broke something?

The Chinese are often slow to adapt, and it's been only 5 days so they are just clueless

Everyone's going to be clueless 5 days after the new patch, this isn't exclusive to China.

You need to draft stunners and you want to get a lot of ganks in or trilane. Brood shines in 1v2 lanes where the enemy has no stuns because she can last hit, deny, trade autoattacks, and regen back any damage taken very quickly while also outleveling them. Honestly, a PA/dazzle lane couldn't kill a broodmother even pre-6.79.

The better options against brood are actually solos. DS, SK with caustic, tide with anchor smash can all do decently against brood (perhaps timber will be good as well). Alternatively picking a carry (preferably melee so they can get stout) with an AoE clear and babysitting until they have RoH or other form of regen and then going doing something constructive somewhere else on the map works (Dragon knight has inbuilt regen and wave clear, but there are plenty of other options).
The only barrier to truth is the presumption that you already have it. It's through our pane (pain) we window (win though).
