The armor is really nice though, perhaps get the ring of protection for casual armor and then just sell it later? Meanwhile, rush vanguard then blink generally off brown boots+RoP. Just have to get the ring of health (the 875 one) asap (perhaps before even boots) so you can jungle effectively. Why force to jungle, considering offlane is far more easier to execute. Dual with Lich?

Thats not really a suggestion lol. Jungle axe is good simply because you can run him alongside a dual and he can drop by for kills very easily. Offlane is a thought but axe requires: HP items, Mana items and Mobility items. That means that he needs a ton of farm. Offlane gets you levels more than farm in most situations and axe really doesn't need those levels that badly.

It's probably the safer choice now, but being able to get Boots->Tranquils first item made your ganks a hell of a lot scarier. On October 23 2013 01:24 Laserist wrote: I disagree, Axe uses level 7 very well and mana & damage block is what he need and easy to obtain early game. He is not a passive hard carry to farm a lane(which is the reason why he is not picked at all) forever. Ever y hero needs something to make it works and Axe is not the most demanding. Any range hero can be dual'ed with axe in offlane imho. Axe as a dual off-lane is essentially based not on his farm need, but on the fact that most people safe lane a melee carry, and with any reasonable laning support, you will manhandle a melee carry in lane as Axe. Axe bullies weak melee laners (and I would classify the majority of carries people play in pubs as "weak melee laners") RIDICULOUSLY hard. 2v2 off-lane against the right melee becomes a free-farm lane for Axe. Against ranged safe lane carries like Drow or Luna, this is significantly less effective.

Then concerning team, it's the heroe I feel the more dependant on my mates, she's at her best when the other 4 have a good teamfight comp and can achieve objectives when they're 4o3. So I would say brood is as good as your mates' understanding how to play with brood. To add on to this, you want to coordinate your split pushing so when you force 1-2 tp's as brood your teammates are pushing on the other side of the map as well. If it's just 1 guy, you kill him and kee pushing. If it's 2+, your teammates push towers while you serve as a distraction. I was mostly farming during a game I played, and while I got killed a couple times, I feel like I had a pretty good game. However I was lvl 13 at the end of the game when my allies were near 20. Am I doing something wrong? For a good idea of my farm, I had Mek, mana boots, and aghs. you probably weren't participating in enough kills (being in exp range)

In general Linkens = split push / farming and BKB = teamfighting, although it can depend on the hero and how much farm you're getting. Any hero(s) in particular you're thinking about?

tranq sr was really mediocre anyway, it's slower in the jungle and makes you really squishy/slow midgame

Linkens is a regen/farming item traditionally on heroes like morph and dusa who need the mana badly and can use the +stats. Also these heroes generally aren't in a colossal hurry to grab a bkb. BKB is completely different. Its a fighting item that ONLY HELPS YOU FIGHT nothing else.

Who went soul ring axe? nobody... Tranqs/arcanes swapping was excellent. Tranqs themselves delivered you from having to buy the worst item in the game (vanguard) since they solved your early regen problems. By 10 minutes you no longer need or want to be jungling so you don't need the regen and can just stick with arcanes.

the problem with tranq arcanes is you lose a ton of hp killing creep stacks vanguard is pretty strong early game, and axe uses every single component of the item
