Indeed, Dotabuff shows a pitiful amount of 3800 games gotten - below even Bloodstone Why? in my head it sounds amazing. Is it just because Vlads->Blink/SB/BKB is that much better? It doesnt really give him anything he needs. You already have a lot of attack speed + damage. What Ursa lacks is a way to jump on someone and a way to guarentee you can attack the target unhindered. Blink ( or shadowblade) is needed to initiate on a target. BKB helps you attack a target without getting slowed or locked down, maximizing your fury swipes. Basher / abyssal blade gives you more lockdown, improving your solo killing abilities and helping with your problem of being kited. Vlads is consisered core because of the lifesteal boost you get with your swipes and the ability to solo rosh. The alternatives to armlet are too good to pass up, and by the time you have them the timing for Armlet to be good has generally passed

Boat radius is 425 and X range is 500/650/800/950. Though it's a bit hard with rank 2 X given that Boat takes 4 seconds to hit. It's very rare that you should be starting 3 branch bottle rush after the bottle crow nerf. I'd argue that there's no matchup where the bottle that early is worth the sacrifice in level 1 regen/laning stats.

Well his ult still gives bonus damage based on his hp. Which sounds fine but in the end armlet just calculates to 23 extra damage with enrage 1. Which is still less than what strength heroes get from armlet.

It's a somewhat better combat item, but if you wanted to go directly to fighting, you would get an engaging item like Blink or Lothar's because damage isn't what Ursa needs to fight. The hero doesn't need damage items because his inherent damage is so high. The hero needs engaging ability because his only engaging power is a mediocre short-range slow. Vlad's is bought for overall early farming efficiency and objective (Rosh, pushing Towers) control. Even ignoring Vlad's, Ursa's first few items are often some combination Blink, Lothar's, BKB, Sheep, or Basher in some order. He only buys damage at the point where he's considering Heart or Butterfly, which are often his 4th or 5th item. Armlet is pretty much ONLY a damage item and offers nothing of what Ursa needs early-midgame, and by the time you actually want a damage item, Armlet isn't slot-efficient anymore compared to 5k+ gold major items.

It's not so much that bottle crowing itself isn't worth the effort, it's that having the Bottle 250 gold sooner isn't as big of a deal when you're trading a Salve and 3 Intelligence for it. EDIT: Actually, even pre-patch I would argue that Puck shouldn't be going 3 Branch Bottle rush start, at least in pubs. Going 3 Branch Bottle rush in lieu of more stats is essentially saying to your lane opponent "I can't win this matchup so I'm going in with the MO of getting a Bottle as fast as possible so I can stalemate". Otherwise the extra damage lets you contest lasthits better and the Salve lets you trade more aggressively. If you believe you can win the lane, the extra level 1-2 strength of having a Salve and a Mantle mitigates the gold banked toward a Bottle. In competitive games, more active support movement and the narrow difference in player skill makes this reasonable to play in many matchups. But in pub games, I don't think Puck has many matchups that he should stalemate. 99% of your matchups can be won on player skill and supports are less coordinated in ganking a mid hero that's crushing his lane opponent, so you don't *want* to go for a bottle-crow stalemate. The only heroes that I'd do this for in pubs are heroes that are fundamentally only really capable of stalemating like this in mid, e.g. Beastmaster, Dragon Knight, etc.
