its really annoying when you are lvl40 and there are 1-2 lvl80 or higher players on the other side who just roflstomp you. and your team thinks you feed so you get reports and get muted too. i had this wonderful "feature" of running into such stomps 7 games in a row today ... (and get some high-lvl player on my own isnt easy when you solo-queue)

If you don't want to get matched up with players of more varied skill then I think your two best options are to enable more game modes and solo queue. Pretty much all negative debuffs iirc aside from things like doom (cant use items) and hexes/stuns IIRC. Manta can remove anything purge can remove, but is also not limited to just magical debuffs like purge is.

The complete correct interaction is actually bugged in DotA 2--Silencing a unit in Moonlight Shadow does not pull them out of Invis like its supposed to. It's *partially* functional, in that silence prevents a unit thats currently affected by Moonlight Shadow from becoming invisible until after the silence wears off.

You'll have to enable the console first by adding -console to the launch options of your dota2. You would probably be better off joining the guild though. teamliquid chat is merely filled with trade bot spam.

That's the plan, but i thought you had to join the chat channel in order to request an invite?

Firstly, I'm never sure whether I should be leveling Illusory Orb or Phase Shift at level 1. I suppose this comes down to the mid matchup I'm facing? Secondly, when watching pro-games, it seems that most mids usually max Illusory Orb before Waning Rift. It seems to me that since Waning rift deals the same damage but also applies a silence that scales well with levels, at a lower mana cost and only a 2 second cd difference, it would be better to leave Orb at 1 and max Rift first. Why do pros max Orb first?

Why do pros max Orb first? I would say going Phase Shift first is the safest choice always. Regardless of your mid matchup, you could be ganked by someone with an ability you can dodge, so it can't really be a bad choice. Add the fact that you probably won't have all that much use of Orb before you're level 2 anyway. Pretty much up to how safe you want to play, but I think shift first is a must against some mids, like QoP. (Obviously just 1 point in shift, maxing orb first is clearly the best choice)

I know that some like Sylla get a bit of a boost in jungling speed because you can start with QB/Stout + haste gloves or QB + Stout and get a fast haste gloves. It still wouldn't make up for not laning LD though since you'd also get the boost there.

(Obviously just 1 point in shift, maxing orb first is clearly the best choice) It really depends on the matchup and who could gank you. Not all lead-off skills can be dodged by Phase Shift (e.g. Rubick's Telekinesis) and against many of those skills, it's simply better to have the chance to blink away with Orb.
