if doom is jungling, either do what nightmarjoo said or sack offlane if clinkz is doing poorly (vs strong safe dual lane / defensive trilane)

What should be the core item set for the bear after getting boots for both? Is there more than the decision between Radiance, Skull Basher and Maelstrom to it? Is Orb of Venom a good pick up early game (e.g. for harassment)? Are there any items I can go for to start making an impact in the mid game and farm tower/hero gold to build up further? Is speccing Rabid early worthwhile when going for kills early? Ninja edit: when one plays LD offlane, when is a good time to leave the lane? In case you start wondering, I don't mind farming longer, it's just that I don't find LD a good farmer, unless unopposed.

Phase on bear, tranqs on druid, orb of venom if you think you can harass enemy laners down, possibly a cloak on druid if you need it for survivability, then start getting your damage items. Is there more than the decision between Radiance, Skull Basher and Maelstrom to it? Vlads is an option if you're not 1st position carry, getting an early hyperstone can work as well. I don't play LD that much, that's all I can think of. Skull basher should come after maelstrom or radiance since those two help you farm. Is Orb of Venom a good pick up early game (e.g. for harassment)? Yes. Is speccing Rabid early worthwhile when going for kills early? I feel like level 1 rabid is pretty useless in terms of kill power, rarely is an extra 5% movespeed / 10% as going to net you a kill. You'll do more damage just by leveling up synergy. Ninja edit: when one plays LD offlane, when is a good time to leave the lane? In case you start wondering, I don't mind farming longer, it's just that I don't find LD a good farmer, unless unopposed. Depends entirely on the game and team. Generally you leave either when it's no longer safe to farm there or your team needs you to help push somewhere else.

basically as long as clinkz/doom/troll are in different lanes it'll work out probably want troll in the safelane and clinkz solo offlane but you can mix that up if you want

Also depends on what the enemy lanes are and level of play (e.g. Clinkz is really good solo off-lane at low levels or if their safe lane has weak killing power, but if they will bring sentries to lane level 1 and just kill you, there's not much you can do). Rhasta does nothing in the off-lane and he's too easy to kill if they have killing power (again, depends on the lanes though), and you're basically sacrificing your Doom if the other team's off-lane is strong (Doom/Rhasta can at least attempt kills, Doom+Omni can't do anything).

Omni-Doom would have trouble against a lot of solo off-laners, let alone hard lane 2v2.

They can't threaten any off-lane heroes until Doom is 6, Omni can't harass, and Repel doesn't help Doom's greatest laning weakness, which is his lack of base armor. Omni-Doom would have trouble against a lot of solo off-laners, let alone hard lane 2v2. Hm. I just thought repel + heal + pulling would allow doom to last hit without really worrying about dying, but I guess not. I don't really have much experience with either of those heroes. I was thinking that it'd be better to have the best kill potential in one lane and try to passively farm the other (rather than both lanes being safer but both lanes also having much less kill potential), but should the safety of the safe lane take priority?

Honestly, purify on clinkz invis could have hilarious results as an offlane 2v2. Shenanigans aside, I feel like omni is still a surprsingly good support for glass-cannons like weaver/clinkz, because they can turn his defence into offence via a license to be hyper-aggressive. With doom, you're just turning your defense into moar defense without mitigating any real weakness and without opening up any avenue to punish the offlaner. The best omni can do there is make a lost lane a little bit less lost. Of course, that's in my trench-tier pubs.

Also I dont think clinkz is a good offlaner. Yea, he has an escape but he's so dependent on getting a quick orchid that getting him to offlane means hes useless for most of the game

However, a lot of the HP removal interactions with invulnerability/magic immunity are bugged. I haven't tested this specific one. EDIT: Here's the bug report detailing the interaction. It looks like becoming invulnerable removes aura effects, but the target is still supposed to take some Heartstopper damage before the aura falls off. In DotA 2, however, the HP removal doesn't work at all. http://dev.dota2.com/showthread.php?t=49861

I can argue with him on some points, and he knows he complains a lot, but sometimes I just go quiet and zone out of a game when he begins. I'll still continue to play but just won't talk anymore and stop caring about the game at that point. After I usually leave the group and voicechat without saying anything. I could just stop playing with him, but we often play with a 5 stack and that would basically mean I'd have to stop playing with a bunch of people. Not sure should how I should handle this, my gut feeling is to just act like mr.positive to counter his nonsense but not sure.
