I hope Dendi doesn't disappoint in this year's mid wars. Last year his loss cost me 3 keys.

Don't like disappointing you, but yesterday on stream there was some guy in his match saying, that he really wants Dendi to win the 1v1 tournament. Dendi responded, that he probably won't, since it needs dedicated practice and he doesn't has the time, nor is he interested in investing time into it, because there are more important things.
Still - one of the best players in the world.

I don't think he's lost his touch. He's been playing different heroes in a different meta. The amazing things he used to do aren't necessarily amazing now. But I do miss his quick reaction/reflex puck plays. Not to flame s4 or anything, but if Dendi's fallen off then s4's mega evaporated.

Im pretty sure Dendi is playing a new meta and adapting to it, he hasnt lost his touch with Dota, he said himself in stream the other day that he is still "in love" with the game, like first day.
And i dont know but i think the mid lane its in a weird spot, s4 playing really bad, even mushi nowadays (compared to his old Orange/earlyDK days), mid laners that anyday would win the game on their own

Mid's less impactful, given the higher gold for supports and the penchant to roam for exp since the jungle has lost a lot of its value for supports. You have to play much more carefully nowadays - no more highlight reel yolo solo kills, especially since you're either the tempo controller or the main DPSer.
That said, I think Na'Vi shouldn't draft the farming mids for Dendi, but give him his more traditional heroes like Puck, QoP, Invoker, and TA. If they focus on giving him those heroes (especially Invoker and Puck) then we'll see more of those flashy, Dendi-only plays.

According to Dendi himself, he's been playing heroes he doesn't enjoy playing much and he doesn't get to play heroes he is best on and practices the most due to Puppey's drafting. Whether it's his fault for not practicing heroes Ppy wants to draft or Ppy not drafting heroes that fit Dendi well, who knows.

It isn't I think. It's all down to the meta at the end of the day and sadly when it comes to drafting, Puppey is the end all of decisions. HE makes them, just takes his teammate's thoughts into consideration.
At the end, it's just how the meta is. Dendi is playing heroes he doesn't enjoy or like... and when you play heroes and stuff you dislike, then you won't do as well on them in general. Having fun is extremely important and when you aren't having fun then you tend to do a bit worse then usual.

I actually agree with this, especially the underlined part. I think that Dendi himself isn't capable of thinking outside the box and unfortunately that means that he generally plays any hero only one way. That in itself limits how easy it is for Puppey to draft for him. Now I know it's true for many players and not just Dendi.
So as not to just throw out such a bold statement and not have anything to back it up with, I'll provide an example. Look at Pudge. Dendi buys Force Staff on this hero, and it gets good results because it helps him secure kills with Meat Hook. It's good, but he doesn't plan for the late game very well. After all those Flesh Heap stacks, he buys more strength perhaps, in the form of a Heart of Tarrasque. What I tend to do on the other hand is go for a Mjollnir where I can apply those Flesh Heap stacks to attack power and to a very punishing defense through Mjollnir's active ability. I'm not posting a guide here, the point is simply that flexibility with one's favorite heroes is sorely lacking.
Some people master only one hero. Such players are not fit for Captains Mode games one can argue. But is Dendi any more fit for them, if he is a jack of all heroes and a master of none?
