I think the building mechanics is a plus, tbh. It adds something technical besides shooting and people can make big plays with it.
The RNG + perspective + scoring are bigger problems.
But yea, It's insane how much money they're saying they're putting in. I'd have been impressed with 5 million, stunned for 10m.... 100m there arent any words. It feels excessive and unnecessary given the competition. I feel there's diminishing returns with a number that insanely high. And I would probably said the same exact thing if the amount was 50m.

$1M was stupid money for esports in 2011, beyond the realm of reasonable. In 2018 (and really, this is for 2019), you have to pony up a lot more to get the same shock value.
Anyway fortnite shit is for a year long season of prizes etc. And i'm sure they will be billing big fucking money to twitch or whoever to stream the games.

the difference is that fortnite is already the most popular game in the world and dota2 was unreleased wc3 mod in alpha stage

My 970 is groaning and straining under some of the newer games so I'm also considering an upgrade. I doubt it will run Cyberpunk 2077 too well.

Nvidia is emptying stocks of garbage cards that place in between every existing card. It's extremely annoying for me (although not warranted, it's just annoying).
Just tell us if you managed to improve sufficiently to justify the price or if there's just more and better ram.
Gotta know how much I have to safe for a nice gaming spree over the winter holidays.

It's more big companies moving into the space now (mostly for ethereum). Individuals really can't compete, but there's obviously some lag time before prices are gonna fall. If a card has <4GB of RAM it can't be used for ethereum, and you can notice how massively the prices dip there lol (I may pick up a 1050 as an upgrade from my 750, considering they're only like 140$).
