Seems like they're testing the waters for potential features like position selecting and sprays. But I haven't been too impressed with a Compendium in a while so this is a no buy for me this year. Plus I haven't played Dota in ages and likely won't in the near future so why bother.

I also subscribe to the "give money to devs who make shit you like" school of thought. Dota is fucking amazing, I'd pick up a compendium basically regardless of what it offers.

I'd only not get it if it actively endorsed pay-to-win or other such garbage.

honestly, it's AMAZINGLY dumb that queuing in the non-roll queue can still put you in the roll-queue games because there's a 90% chance you wind up as support

right now on my team there's a fucking divine 1 player queued as mid and a divine 5 player who is furious that he's having to support that

this is ridiculous

I don't like that Valve further fractured the matchmaking queues. As expected, and feared it has made queue times and ranking disparities really bad for high MMR games in NA.

I queue as support and I'm fine with playing that, but the game seems almost unwinnable when our mid is 4-5 ranks below theirs.

I hate that Valve seemingly doesn't take into consideration how their changes might effect anyone above 5k MMR. I doubt any of their employees are above 3k and they just read reddit to determine what changes seem hip and cool to make. This is just frustrating to have games that are vastly less balanced, have higher MMR spreads, and take even longer to get now due to this stupid change just to appease reddit.

I was watching BSJ stream a bit during my queues and I saw him land in a game with a Divine 4 mid player despite him being top 50(?). The game went as expected with his team failing miserably and resulting into a loss. He rage closed DotA and said he was done playing.

I am sure that valve makes changes based on how it impacts the majority of their player base, for good or bad. Folks that are over 5K likely only make up a small fraction of the overall player base.

I recently just put coffee beans into boiled water to see what'd happen. The result is a very weak coffee which is about what I expected. Gonna try to crush the beans a bit (not grind, just crush) and see how that looks.

Why, you may ask? Because I'm a bit bored.

You are part way through the creative process to create cold brew. Grind the beans, put them in an container with water and store them over night in your frig. You may want to look the ratios online so you don’t make coffee that will jack you up super hard.

I don't have a bean grinder in the office unfortunately, but I can probably jerry-rig a thing to crush the beans. Unfortunately it may make a ton of noise and annoy the other guys in the lab.
