I dodged that conversation because it was extra dumb. I felt the whole thing was fine, everyone got upset because the person they hired did exactly what they hired her for. The US broadcast news is basically political pro-wrestling, but they still want to be treated like the defenders of democracy. At least folks at NPR and the Times news team get it.

Her so speech was mighty fine.

Donald trump being the only pussy you're not allowed to grab is a fantastic line.

The smoky eye thing was a little confusing because I have zero makeup skills. The only thing I apply is after shave and sunscreen. And I look akin to a ghost after that most of times.

Some people that she covered were unfamiliar to me but all in all I had lots of moments of laughing out loud.

CNN’s CEO did say that Trump was very good for CNN’s profits, which is some real shit since he is talking our presidential election.

And they have autoplaying videos on their website. If we regulate the internet in the next 10 years, that shit needs a steep fine.

Her jokes weren't too risqué or controversial, but we do have some very sensitive people who do not like to be criticized right now. Also the WHCD looks to be less of a celebration of White House coverage as much as it is a pat on the back a few laughs for being chummy with celebrities and the president, instead of being separate and holding them accountable. Probably explains why some columnists got offended and rushed to blast Wolfe's performance because she called them out.

It is a problem with the White House Press crops wanting it both ways. They want people to respect they have a hard job and dealing with the White House is a conflict every day. That has always been the nature of the job. But they also work for networks that are more than happy to run pro-wrestling style political entertainment to feed the divide in this country, all for profit.

And then they invite a comedian and expect them play nice for the night, even though their job is to roast the press and White House. Unlike 2017 WHCD, we are post the “fine people” comment about a bunch of dudes with Nazi flags that killed someone. And the trash coverage that got on the major news networks.

I like Chappelle’s response to the entire thing.

I don't think hwang is being terrible and being mean to him or abrasive sort of puts a bad taste in my mouth. I'd rather you just explain to him in a nicer way why you don't like the things he says regarding this or the topic and maybe change his mind instead of just making him feel bad. I dun think he's being terrible either. HJT, you're fine and even -if- I object to you are fundamentally as a person (I don't think I do / don't know you well enough to actually judge) I'm just some random fuck on the internet so it isn't as worthwhile as someone who actually hangs out with / knows you.
