LoL, women not using voice chat when they play online games is common to all games and there is a reason for it. Like a 3 year old that wants attention and doesn't care if its positive or negative, teenage boys will act like little assholes if they know a girl is on the other end of the mic.

Anytime you get a MASSIVE amount of people together women, men, or mixed it's going to be pretty idiotic. Now make that demographic 12-25 year old gamers competing with one another and have more or less full anonymity.

Girls I know that play SCII: 0
So there are more girls that play DotA than SCII (logic!)

%-wise it may be higher in SCII but the absolute number in DotA2 must be higher for obvious reasons

I am aware of a couple of ladies that play dota, only from them appearing on the dota streams on twitch. I have met a couple while playing as well.
