like it's actually impossible to compete with that for the vast majority of sponsors. Someone email the sponsrs american anti-monopoly thing They are nowhere near antitrust anything at this point. They need all the market share in video entertainment to be there. I mean there's kinda a conflict of interest where twitch has significant incentive to harm streamers associated with different brands.
Not that I think it will happen especially since many many streamers (like say EE) make twitch a lot of money while not being associated with GGA but still.
Also GGA teams have never been close to hand-to-mouth ever since dota 2 came around and their primary competitors in terms of big organizations (na'vi, C9, etc) don't have that issue either.
Teams that are hand-to-mouth are teams that GGA has no interest in picking up anyway.

Can't argue with that. And I don't know how Twitch will treat the whole MLG thing. Part of me thinks they will go all protectionist, but I could see them just working a deal out with MLG for EG and Alliance. Some money changing hands is likely better than a huge public reddit dumb drama feast.
Though that would be very Esports.

I think its way more likely for MLG to turn down GGA teams if they feature prominent twitch branding than for GGA to turn down MLG tournaments due to a lack of streaming on twitch.
Not that I particularly expect either to happen. If there ever were two organizations who understand where the other is coming from, its GGA and MLG.

People are afraid this will change. I don't think it is. These people and organizations respect each other's effort so much they wouldn't hurt everything they built just to make money.
If anything I think this move has more to do with Steam and Vale streaming than anything else.
