My friend insists that he is stuck in the shadow pool and that his mmr won't go up because of it. He has double the games played I do and invested a lot more into hero items, but I double him in mmr. He is at 1.5k but hes a pretty smart guy that plays everyday. | ||

also the hidden pool of extra toxic players probably is real yea i feel like i've been in it for some periods... just high frequency of throwers and total ragers who decide to ruin the game from early on. it's also felt like there were games of hiddenpool vs non hidden pool where the enemy team cared enough to pick semi coherently and coordinate while my team would pick whatever and do whatever. i mean i've felt like i've been on both sides of that coin, but it sometimes happens in blocks... like strings of games where one team seems full of fuckers. i've read posts by people on various forums/reddit describing the same thing so idk i suspect its real; i'm not sure if the popular explanation of the "rate this player" thing being the main determinant is true though... might involve reports for communication abuse or like actual flags that using certain abusive phrases might mark your account for idk /tinfoilhat | ||
