ive tried dog meat, didnt like it. i prefer lamb.

Different animals are simply assigned different 'values' to different people. Personally i wouldn't want to eat dog or cat myself but it's not so much because i think a cat or a dog's life are worth more, the idea of eating either of those two just doesn't sit right with me. I'm not going to judge people that eat them however.
I grew up in the country side and i got to name my grandparents chickens for example and then i got to see them be beheaded and plucked and then i'd get to eat them. So for me it's not even related to having known/caring about the specific animal, it's kind of hard to explain why i'd be so against personally eating cat or dog.

It's a weird thing really.
