I like how octarine is such a niche item that is only good on a few couple of heroes. I had concerns it was going to be standard when it first arrived.

Its weird when you think about it, but actually pretty tasty when you don't.

as for eating dogs. wtf is the difference from eating other mass farm raised animals? besides the mental barrier. cuz i mean some people have teacup pigs for pets does that mean they dont eat pork? btw pigs are smarter than dogs and they are very loyal too. ive tried dog meat, didnt like it. i prefer lamb.

Pigs are adorable, smart and fun animals to own. They also taste good. Cows can be sweet too. Also good to eat. Goats are 50/50 and some of them are straight up assholes. Chickens are the fucking devil.

On the other hand, even in Europe people do horrible things to animals they eat (like force-feeding geese to fatten them, or the halal slaughter of cows), so I guess we shouldn't judge anyone too harshly. I think that if given an opportunity, I would try dog meat, just to see how it tastes like.

Even if you bring up the argument that "dogs are man's best friend" I can look up evidence that shows pigs are just as intelligent and aware as dogs, or how chickens and cows all create social connections and clearly demonstrate emotions. Now I know a lot of the campaign against dogs is against their cruel harvesting but I still see a lot of people who get emotional over dog meat and I really fail to see a difference between a dog life and any other animal you eat. Just goes to show you how much cultural and socio-economic situations can shape how people view things rather than some objective sense of what is right or wrong about food. If people assigned the same value to each animal's life and wellbeing then even vegetarians and vegans wouldn't be able to function. Just plowing a single field kills millions of animals. Different animals are simply assigned different 'values' to different people. Personally i wouldn't want to eat dog or cat myself but it's not so much because i think a cat or a dog's life are worth more, the idea of eating either of those two just doesn't sit right with me. I'm not going to judge people that eat them however. I grew up in the country side and i got to name my grandparents chickens for example and then i got to see them be beheaded and plucked and then i'd get to eat them. So for me it's not even related to having known/caring about the specific animal, it's kind of hard to explain why i'd be so against personally eating cat or dog. It's a weird thing really. I wouldn't have any problems eating a pig i had raised and cared for either.
