in dota being non-chinese doesn't mean you can't match with them

Are you saying the the chinese servers are the mythical land of high level, flame free dota?
If you can't understand the flame is it really flame?
and yeah it's definitely the land of teamwork pubs apparently

Some flame is universal and transcends language. But I could see how the pros would like it more because they can't really flame or be flamed. Its like culturally enforced mute.

The team work thing must be nice. I envy that. But NA has always been a terrible place for competitive games and I'll never get to play on China was a passable ping.

You guys have never seen the power of SEA if you think NA is awful. In SEA if you get a game with friendly teammates and non-BM enemy team you have to check if you are actually playing on SEA server.

I never really understood that, why are Americans so awful in games like SC2 or Dota (I dont' really follow other esports)? Is it a cultural thing or something? I'm sure they are in general just as smart as Europeans or the Chinese...

I have had a bad rash recently with some truly terrible team mates. Its killed my desire to solo cue while the compendium fever is in full swing. Its random draft or stacks.

I am sure culture is a factor. I also think that more Dota players in China watch dota. At my 2K scrub level people don't watch dota at all. So you get people who play Lone Druid and rush aghs with brown boots because they have literally never seen that hero played correctly. Or the guy who yelled at me for getting medallion on venge when I should be getting mek.

The only difference i've noted between Q'ing on the european servers and the american servers is the amount of death threats/being told to kill yourself comments which probably relates to more native english speakers on the american servers.
The amount of flame is the same though, but i only get comments regarding killing myself and getting killed on US servers, lol.
From the Ghastly Eyrie I can see to the ends of the world, and from this vantage point I declare with utter certainty that this one is in the bag!

I'd like to point out that the best foreign SC2 player is also North American, much like the best Dota 2 team (okay okay look i'm allowed to say this shit even if it isn't true)

Unfortunately our CSGO scene has downs but I can keep hoping

China has as many garbo teams as NA and EU. They just never make it to our events because the good teams beat them.

When SEA gonna be the best on a esports scene if we don't count KR as SEA ? So that i can go muh regionalism/nationalism cause they are winning and i don't have to cheer on the other teams cause they are interesting or owning.

that just reminded me of something i wanted to bring up
given how the csgo na scene is almost as abysmal as the na dota scene (apart from eg) its rather interesting that they still appear to be earning a very decent amount of money which is a pretty big contrast to dota

Isn't Scarlett retired/taking a break from SC2 now? Or did she un-retire? I haven't been following the Starcraft scene for a few months now.

But yeah she was the best at one point, no doubt about it.

did you miss that glorious thread of her wanting to learn and compete on dota 2 scene ?

also scarlett isn't the best .. it's gotta be Bunny/Snute/Naniwa
